I heard there is actually a lot that goes into the world-building of the Thomas the Tank Engine universe. It is a lot deeper than just random children's stuff, which is quite amusing.

Most of the memes are because of the faces, but also because people grew up with the show as well. I thought it was really exciting when I was 5 years old.
