The OPI on the Bills last regulation drive was bad, I agree. OTOH, I feel like their clock management on that drive was also trash so I'm not totally sure it changes the outcome, just a less exciting FG.

Rodgers technically gets the win for this, right?

Their clock management was actually perfect for that drive with one timeout.

No way, they let way too much time run off and it quickly became apparent they were playing for OT and not trying to just win it in regulation by going for the TD. I guess if they were afraid Allen would commit another turnover but I'd be pretty livid if I were a fan of theirs that they seemingly settled.

They had one timeout against a defense that had spent all of the second half dominating them. I felt like everything they did was optimal, especially using the timeout when they did. I don't see where they could've saved time anywhere? And I am HYPER VIGILANT about coaches running awful two minute drills.

What do you mean, they used half their time on the first two plays to move 12 yards

I definitely foresaw Rodgers getting hurt this season, but first series and before any completed passes is a bit cruel even by my standards. Definitely didn't want him to miss the season. At least he has the "fluke injury" excuse, cause this team wasn't going to go anywhere anyway.

I think Rodgers overstayed his welcome in GB and I'm glad we've moved on but it's just kind of sad.

Hopefully Rodgers skips playing for the Vikings next and goes straight to defrauding state governments and children.

I do wonder if the Jets try to trade for a QB now or if they'll try to sign someone who's not on a team like Carson Wentz

Rodgers wouldn't have gotten hurt if he stayed in Green Bay. The Packers actually take having an offensive line seriously. That said, I was glad to get rid of him when we did, and the fact that he got hurt on the first series is... retribution of some kind. A humbling for the guy's ginormous ego, perhaps. It's interesting how similarly Bears fans like Stan feel despite Rodgers' stake in their ownership.

What this comes down to is the Jets not investing in protection for a QB known for taking his time to ensure that his throw is tried and true. This is why his INT rate is so insanely low. But it's sad to see his career end like this, even if I was laughing maniacally >_>

Aaron Rodgers frequently talked about preferring to finish out his career with the same team. He referenced Marino and Elway and some others as people who he respected for doing it all with the same team. Whether this was a backhanded slight at Favre or his actual feelings, who knows? But for the guy to literally spend his entire career in Green Bay, and then have just 4 snaps with the Jets. He will always have that 2TM asterisk next to his name in the record books now instead of GB. If what he said earlier is true, that's always going to bug him.

They actually can't at the moment because the pick is still technically a conditional pick that isn't evaluated until the season is over

Maybe they could make another conditional trade based on how that conditional pick works out? I don't know
