I don't mean their lives. But their education and then welfare. Republicans have somehow convinced millions of Americans to willingly allow their children to grow up dumb, have little trajectory forward, get stuck working dead end jobs until the day they die, for a pittance, and likely rinse repeat the same thing for their kids, and their kids, and their kids, forever.

Now some will likely fight through adversity, but the majority simply won't.

I won't say it's a death cult, but it's weird to me.

Now I get that the rich won't have to deal with this problem, as their kids in private schools will end up getting more government funds to get a proper education, likely ignoring all the state ran school criteria from these schools, creating a further divide from the wealthy to unwealthy, however there aren't enough moderately rich white people for Republicans to consistently win these elections. You need the tens of millions of poor Republican voters to elect these people instituting these dumb laws systematically attacking our education.

They got the narrative and fearmongering in the bag. Usually when their kids go to higher education, they meet more people and learn to be less like their racist asshole parents. Those parents do not like that and want to keep their children brainwashed and like them as well. So it is real easy for them to want to destroy education.

My grandfather was telling an old Air Force buddy how education is corrupt by "teaching college students liberalism" last night and I told him about PragerU's claim to kids that "it's better to be a slave than dead".

Gross stupidity is more a symptom of the problem, which is propaganda. US right wingers are among the most heavily propagandized groups of people worldwide (easily top 5, with only North Korea being no-brainer worse).

Among those without wealth, the goal isnt dont need to teach their kids ways to gain and access wealth, but instead to simply blame others for their lack of wealth.
Also, there isnt demonization of educations towards most STEM careers.

That's more the product of religion. Republicans just go along with it.
