Love Kusou Rumba, though what I like the most about it is how it gets increasingly chaotic across the mini-seasons. The first version is good enough on its own though. The Attack on Titan OP, I didn't like the song, and I'm not sure it captures the titans in their best light.

SAO may be a bit bad but the OPs are pretty solid I think, decent songs, show some solid looking action scenes and such, it's not bad. The Paranoia Agent OP is striking but I wouldn't seek it out, and it only has the one gimmick, so I rate it low.

Match 1 I like the choruses of both OP's but the rest is kind of not-great. Zetsubou's OP is more memorable but not always in a good way, so I think I'm going to give the edge to AoT

Crossing Field is a top-tier anime OP. Incredible song, serviceable animation, and the combination really gives the feel of an epic high-stakes adventure even if the show itself only sometimes delivers on that promise. Don't really like the Paranoia Agent OP much. The song has always felt middling to me, and the visuals are just very goofy--deliberately so but that doesn't mean that I'm going to care about it.

I assume Shinzou wo Sasageyo will win this match, which I'm fine with because it's a good OP, but I dig the harder rock of Ks Rumba. Also the first half of the OP did not prepare me for how the second half goes and ends with a woman hanging from a tree.

Ah, the one thing that justifies Sword Art Online's existence. Love love love this song, love love love LiSA. I have multiple albums from her in my personal library, and it started with this OP and Fate/Zero's Oath Sign. The OP itself is pretty standard, but then again Sword Art Online is THE standard isekai that kicked off the isekai genre craze so it fits. Dream Island Obsessional Park is pretty wild, I do appreciate how off-putting and creepy it is. It's just going against Crossing field, so whoops.

First match is close. If it were the first AoT opening, it'd be an easy pick there. Or if it were the original SZS opening! As for the second, if this were song alone I'd give it to Crossing Field, but... The laughter. God, the laughter. It haunts you.

I always preferred the 3min Ringo Mogire Beam OP to Kuso Rumba. But still generally like all SZS OPs, there's just so much going on, but it also feels very deliberate. By this point you're getting used to the series and it's a gag show, but there's still some eerie moments. I know when I saw the OP I was questioning if the MC was still alive due to the ending.

Big big fan of crossing field, hate SAO, but it's LiSA and the OP isn't just showing cool power fantasy stuff. The MMO world looks like a huge adventure area and it gives Asuna equal billing. I didn't know this would be lying to me so much. She's fighting on par with him, even ends with her weapon with his, I had this down as a power duo.
Did like how eerie the animation for Paranoia Agent was just cos it's a lot of contrast. People laughing in front of ruins or laughing while holding their shoes, a sign that their life was on the way out. So it does tell you that all these people are having a bad time, but you're not sire why they're laughing. I just don't think it's enough of a hook to make you go out of your way to check out the show.

wtf im a normie today eep, kuso rumba is great just like all the zetsubou sensei OPs are because shaft is a BAMF, but god damn SASAAAGEYO SASAAAAGEYOOOO SHINZOU WO SASAAAGEYOOO how do you beat that???? well, the answer is actually being *looks at ranking list* 8 other songs in the contest so far (as well as at least 2 upcoming) but still. it's great

oh did i say 8, okay make that 9 cause crossing field is just next level. this song probably has my favorite voice singing in the entire contest, there's just something about LiSA's voice that is just utterly captivating. there's very few vocalist that exist period that make me more excited to be listening to it (honestly off the top of my head i can literally think only of atsuko from angela, YURiCa/, and Noriko Mitose lol) it only really falls short on animation, which is still pretty good! paranoia agent's op is a classic but i don't know if it'd say i personally enjoy it enough to justify even thinking about voting it here. mad respect tho!!

Sasageyo is my second favorite Linked Horizon AoT song behind Jiyuu no Tsubasa. Really good song. Its opponent is pretty solid too. Susumu Hirasawa is a great composer, and Dream Island Obsessional Park is so strangely captivating. I love it.

I know Sasageyo is THE definitive favorite AoT OP, but sue me I prefer the first one it's just way more hype, though I will say the part where Mikasa swings in and flings Eren is pretty sick. If I were watching and listening to these OPs in a vacuum, Ks Rumba would have me quite a bit more intrigued to look into the anime afterwards so it wins for me.

As for the second match I have intense nostalgia for both. Paranoia Agent's OP is so aggressively Satoshi Kun and I love it for that, but SAO's first OP makes me wistful for a time before Kirito became the most main character ever and when the anime was about more than him collecting one more member for his harem... Also only one of these songs is a bop I would listen to outside of the opening of a show so it was easy for me to decide which to vote for here.

Rumba's probably the best song of the SZS OPs. The animation isn't the best, but it still has great moments. I'm not sure I'd rank Shinzou wo Sasageyo as a top 5 Titan OP. That's not saying it's bad, and I love the dinosaurs at the end, but the series has a ton of awesome OPs.

Odd second match. Pretty good song and animation vs. interesting animation and a song I don't like. DIOP is the better OP, but I don't like it as much.

MATCH 1

Kusou Rumba is pretty cool. I mainly like the drumming, but the contrast between the male and female vocals is pretty enjoyable as well. Some interesting themes going on in the animation, but I like how it just changes out of nowhere to a dance routine lol.

Sasageyo is cool too. Musically, its a pretty close match. I like this song more when its more bombastic in the brass, which is something thats more lacking here compared to Season 1s OP, which I wouldve 100% taken in this match. Animation-wise, Im not super interested in shonen action stuff, so Im less interested in whats going on in the animation for Sasageyo compared to Kusou Rumba, so that helps make the decision a little bit easier. Still a relatively close match, though.

MATCH 2

Crossing Field is amazing and is a song I totally wouldve considered nominating myself for this contest. Everything about this is great, and I cant complain about a single thing in this song. The burst of instruments after wakaranai never fails to pump me up, and the same goes for the chorus. Easily my favorite song in the bracket.

Dream Island Obsessional Park is an unfortunate matchup. I really like Susumu Hirasawas voice, especially when he does that aiiiiiyaaaa in the song. This is a pretty good song, and I wouldve taken this over both songs in match 1, but Crossing Field is way too good.
