Yet another movie about poor white people rednecks that pull off a heist to get money because they've been "wronged" somehow oh poor them. After hell or high water I've had my fill of these movies, the characters are not sympathetic or compelling or likable at all. Hell or High Water was already discount No Country For Old Men without the deconstruction advantage, and this movie is like a discount of a discount. No getting caught, they steal the money and get off scot-free and I'm not really rooting for them.

I liked Daniel Craig though. Finally figured out where Daniel Craig got his southern drawl idea for Knives Out. He started doing it in Logan Lucky and must have enjoyed it so much he just fine tuned it for Knives Out. So that's one good thing this movie gave us.

I'm honestly not sure why the critic RT score is so high, the audience score is reasonably lower. Feels like I have to be from the south to enjoy the movie, from the whole nascar thing to the southerner redneck daily life to the little girl pageantry.

But holy crap I had no idea it was by the Ocean's 11 guy. Also more holy crap that director has huge range, from comedy like oceans to more serious like Erin brockovitch to Contagion.

Should have suspected after he had the characters in the movie call the heist "Ocean's 7-11" in-universe.

So the Ocean's movies exist in the universe of the movie... that is directed by the guy who's directing this?

Yeah I didn't like it. Watched it with someone who I used to know.

That being said, I don't mind the idea of like a trailer trash heist movie. I actually wanted to see that one with Zack Galifianakis but I never got around to it.

And I didn't really get why they'd get one of the most prominent British actors of his day doing a drawn out, exaggerated southern drawl, it's distracting and silly. Haven't seen Knives Out or Glass Onion, but I'm glad it seems to be a better fit than in Logan Lucky. Mid movie at best, really didn't like it very much.

I would take a closer look at the ending and the talk about the Logan Curse. There is more meaning in the ending than you think

They could have been referring to the original movie? Probably not but I mean

I was confused by the cameos. Couldn't understand why Sebastian Stan was in this or what was the point of his racecar driver character. And they introduce Hilary Swank the FBI agent in literally the last 20 minutes of the movie which is so confusing to the point where I'm wondering if it was meant to be a sequel hook like the final scene of Oceans 11.

Ah trailer trash, that's the word I was looking for.

You have to watch Knives Out, it's one of the best movies of the last decade and the best murder mystery movie of the 21st century easily. It's like they took an Agatha Christie novel and adapted it for the modern age, better than any of the actual adaptations of her works.

I didn't even realize Mellie was supposed to be his sister, not his girlfriend. It was only at the end of the movie when I noticed and was shocked by this. It definitely makes sense now why he'd pursue the whole Katherine Waterson mobile doctor. Who by the way would surely question the ethics of accepting what is clearly dirty stolen money as a donation even if it does help her charity work. But the movie just glosses over that.

Throughout the movie I was like "who is that weird guy who looks like seth macfarlane what is even the point of his character" and turns out it was seth macfarlane. Doing a hilarious accent... could it even be called an accent? It's like British and American at the same time.

After 21 jump streets I liked Channing Tatum and think he was a good actor there but he's playing a real dull character here.

I can look past the movie showing these two unlucky and relatively stupid hicks devise and pull off a near impossible plan to try to fit into the movie's title.

I do like Adam Driver too, but he and Hilary Swank who I don't like played pretty one-note, one-dimensional characters
