The former. Essentially you blow up like a bomb after you die and anyone close by will be caught in the blast

Yes. Nearby people could get injured (or worse) during the explosion. Your nasty remains could ruin a location and induce trauma. Etc.

No. I'm likely to die near my spouse and I'd rather spare them any additional trauma.

Was gonna say we aren't filled with gunpowder but you're probably right about collateral damage, with bone fragments and such.

That is quite true. When I was born the doctors even spent a lot of time remarking on the superb quality of my gravy.

I think hes saying that if anyones near you when you explode, theyre going to die too. So they wont have a chance to experience any trauma.

Pass only because a violent explosion may traumatize family and friends, or even hurt them. Hell, depending on where I die, my explosive death may cause some strangers death.

I can't consciously choose to kill someone knowing what happens when I die.

I was interpreting this thread as not dying because of exploding violently. You still die however you were going to die, you just inexplicably explode afterward.
