but i want hot tiefling

So I just figured out on another character that I, as a Fighter, cannot dual wield longswords. Or even wield a longsword in one hand and a short sword or scimitar in the other. Kinda messes with my build idea. So I need to Dual Wielding feat to accomplish dual longswords, right?

And another question: where in Moonrise Towers do I find Zevlor and Wyll's dad? Am I too late if the assault on the Tower has already started?

I am still meandering about in chapter 1. Spent a couple hours going through the Arcane Tower in the underdark. Tried to figure out the best way to get through those auto defense turrets, then how to get the central pillar teleporter operational. I had boots of Featherfall that I just found, so I used that to leap to the bottom of the tower, then rooted around to find out how to power the damn generator. I met Bernard, and convinced him to drop his weapon. I wonder if the ring of electrical resistance can protect against the occasional shock that the halberd gives, because I could use that on Karlach.

I still haven't made it to the Goblin Camp. lol

Yup the dual wielding feat allows you to wield all non-two handed weapons.

you find them when you reach the mind flayer colony after the boss fight at the top of the tower.

If you can run up to a turret, you can drop a sussur bloom next to it to shut it down

They're also weak to lightning damage, so something like shocking grasp works too

Re: Arcane Turrets

Eldritch Blast is your friend. Sometimes the shots do 0 damage, but so long as you have your Warlock peek oit from behind cover, shoot, then go back behind cover, you should be fine.

Also, that automaton at the top of the tower...I forget which response you have to give him, but one of them makes him walk over to a table and give you a ring. That ring eventually lets you use the elevator to get to the hidden level of the tower and therein you find one of the best staves in the game.

You have to read the books scattered in the tower, I think there's 3, for the responses to show up. I think the ring one is the middle response.

That would require the restoration of the upper city of Baldur's Gate which seems unlikely for a patch to drop a whole new area.

Nice! I have decided to hold off on my playthrough of this for them to finish patching up the later half of the game and all the bugs. Gonna play starfield for a while instead(I know it will probably have even more bugs, but i dont care as much with that type of game, and i have faith larian will polish their game into even more of a gem)

is there an act 4? i've never seen it mentioned so I assume not. but I'm at ~105 hours this campaign and I can't tell if I'm halfway through act 3 or what.

No it wouldn't require that, it just means shifting around narratives a bit. They could easily work in a solution in the lower city.

People who looked around the files found out that her good ending was pretty much finished, the ending we get is suppose to be the bad ending, the only reason we can't trigger it is that it takes place in the upper city which was cut from the game. Considering they would need new voices and changing of questlines for it to work in the lower city looks to be bigger in scope for a patch imo.

You can go there almost immediately in Act 3.

I was planning on killing Orin first but I took out the Steel Watch early and Gortash was just the easier target. also didn't feel like dealing with dopplegangers >_>

although this does make me wonder about my only A3 plot question so far: shouldn't the Brain be weaker once I get my second stone? unless there's some sort of ritual I have to do with all 3 to take control.

As I understand it, the mechanics work as such

The Dead 3 are controlling it with the stones. When you kill them and take their stones, the hold they had gets weaker, but you the player still need to confront it and use the stones yourself

Among other things, there's direct confirmation that part of Patch 2 will be a reworked ending for Karlach

Unfortunately, they still haven't implemented a way to change your character's appearance mid-campaign, which is not so great

I dunno, what do you mean by change appearance? If you mean hair or makeup that's one thing. if you're trying to change your whole face that's what spells or the CE mask are for.

Weve seen three types of complaints that are being referred to as cut content:

The first references content that actually doesnt properly trigger because of a bug, for instance some of Mintharas reactivity. Weve located whats causing that and are working on it - expect a fix for this soon.

The second is about the epilogue. Whats been datamined is not really cut content but content that we didnt want to release because we didnt think it worked. Were pretty strict with ourselves and our ideas. If it isnt good - if it isnt fun to play - it doesnt make it into the game. One of the reasons why we trimmed the epilogue is because we were afraid the ending cinematics were becoming too long and would detract from the epicness of the experience. But clearly, not everyone agrees with us! So were going to do something about it.

Weve started expanding the epilogues and youll see the first results of that in Patch 2 with the addition of a new optional ending with Karlach. Its fiery, poignant, and gives her the ending she deserves.

The third is about the things we actually didnt plan for, and those we once considered but ultimately didnt do.

It was always our intention for the Upper City to be an epic, cinematic epilogue bringing the story of Baldurs Gate 3 to a close. But we didnt talk about that in advance because it would have been a major spoiler.

We feel confident that theres enough content in Baldurs Gate 3, and the city itself, clocking in weeks-long playthroughs at a time. But thats not to say Baldurs Gate 3 didnt see cuts just as every game. Its just important to know that what ultimately shipped was planned long ago, in function primarily of making Baldurs Gate 3 fun to play, not for us to close development quickly.

This part is strange to me, because I can't really wrap my mind around how or why they would have thought this.

If you sat me down and told me that there was an hour or more of epilogue cinematics incoming, my response would be, "Fuck yeah, let's do this shit." Watching how everything comes together and where everyone ends up is one of the best parts (maybe the best part) of a game like this.

I'm completely confident in saying that I'm with the majority on that, too. I don't really understand how they could have misjudged the fanbase that badly.
