So I just figured out on another character that I, as a Fighter, cannot dual wield longswords. Or even wield a longsword in one hand and a short sword or scimitar in the other. Kinda messes with my build idea. So I need to Dual Wielding feat to accomplish dual longswords, right?

And another question: where in Moonrise Towers do I find Zevlor and Wyll's dad? Am I too late if the assault on the Tower has already started?

Yup the dual wielding feat allows you to wield all non-two handed weapons.

Also
you find them when you reach the mind flayer colony after the boss fight at the top of the tower.

I am still meandering about in chapter 1. Spent a couple hours going through the Arcane Tower in the underdark. Tried to figure out the best way to get through those auto defense turrets, then how to get the central pillar teleporter operational. I had boots of Featherfall that I just found, so I used that to leap to the bottom of the tower, then rooted around to find out how to power the damn generator. I met Bernard, and convinced him to drop his weapon. I wonder if the ring of electrical resistance can protect against the occasional shock that the halberd gives, because I could use that on Karlach.

I still haven't made it to the Goblin Camp. lol

Re: Arcane Turrets

Eldritch Blast is your friend. Sometimes the shots do 0 damage, but so long as you have your Warlock peek oit from behind cover, shoot, then go back behind cover, you should be fine.

Also, that automaton at the top of the tower...I forget which response you have to give him, but one of them makes him walk over to a table and give you a ring. That ring eventually lets you use the elevator to get to the hidden level of the tower and therein you find one of the best staves in the game.

They're also weak to lightning damage, so something like shocking grasp works too

Yeah, I just used Karlach to rush them and pummel them into submission with a great maul while everyone stayed out of line of sight during the environmental turns. I had that lightning surge spell scroll on me as well, which took care of one of the turrets on the inside. The turrets turned themselves off when the power was restored to the tower.

You have to read the books scattered in the tower, I think there's 3, for the responses to show up. I think the ring one is the middle response.

There's several books that tell you key phrases. One stands down, one gives you a hug, one gives you a health potion, one gives you the ring, and the last makes them hostile. The Sussr Blooms don't work on Bernard. >_>

Astarion really grew on me as a character. I put him away in camp because for the first two acts I was playing a ranger so I didn't need anyone to lock pick or disarm traps. After I respec into a paladin I kept him around for the second half of act 3. Now playing as the urge I'll keep him around for the whole game and his company is well appreciated.

I like to give everybody a bit of a shake. I haven't found everyone yet, but I have two party types that revolve around my MC being a druid.

Karlach/Shadowheart (spec'd as thf/trickery cleric)/Wyll
Lae'zel/Gale/Astarion (Arcane Trickster)

I want to give Lae'zel some Paladin levels once I get Fighter to 5 so she can do some fun oath stuff. I think she'll be best as an avatar of vengeance.

No it wouldn't require that, it just means shifting around narratives a bit. They could easily work in a solution in the lower city.

In my case, it involves me playing so glacially that they patch all of the important bug fixes before I actually get to the points where I need them. I've only technically got 20 hours of game time on the game in the two weeks I've had it.

People who looked around the files found out that her good ending was pretty much finished, the ending we get is suppose to be the bad ending, the only reason we can't trigger it is that it takes place in the upper city which was cut from the game. Considering they would need new voices and changing of questlines for it to work in the lower city looks to be bigger in scope for a patch imo.

they could easily add that in a patch if they want to, it would just take time.

this isn't other studios where it would have to be paid DLC, although it might have to wait for the probably free definitive edition

As I understand it, the mechanics work as such

The Dead 3 are controlling it with the stones. When you kill them and take their stones, the hold they had gets weaker, but you the player still need to confront it and use the stones yourself

I dunno, what do you mean by change appearance? If you mean hair or makeup that's one thing. if you're trying to change your whole face that's what spells or the CE mask are for.

and this game actually changes my MC's hair style based on what kind of hat/helmet I'm wearing so that's a step above pretty much every other game

I'm so annoyed that most of my favorite hairstyles have the hair going over the face from the right, then all the conversation camera angles are from the right so your hair blocks your face.

Disguise Self is a temporary change, and you have no control over it. It just gives the default character appearance for each race. That's not at all what I'm talking about.

It was always our intention for the Upper City to be an epic, cinematic epilogue bringing the story of Baldurs Gate 3 to a close. But we didnt talk about that in advance because it would have been a major spoiler.

We feel confident that theres enough content in Baldurs Gate 3, and the city itself, clocking in weeks-long playthroughs at a time. But thats not to say Baldurs Gate 3 didnt see cuts just as every game. Its just important to know that what ultimately shipped was planned long ago, in function primarily of making Baldurs Gate 3 fun to play, not for us to close development quickly.

I am saved right next to the thing I need to click to start Act 3. I may wait until this new patch comes out since I'm using Karlach and I want to see her whole story. About 75 percent of the way to Level 10 on my half-elf Bard.

I think my next character will be a Dwarf Cleric a little more tuned to combat with heavy armor. My other companions would be the ones I didn't use this time which are Wyll, Lae'zel, and Asterion.

I know you don't have to take companions. And i've heard people say it can be beaten with 1 character but it's gonna be pretty tough. Maybe some mods to help even out the one character thing, if there are any for that.
