Glad you liked it. and if you liked Dream Island Obsessional Park I'd definitely recommend checking out the Paprika OST (if not watching Paprika itself - it's great!), it's composed by Susumu Hamauzu and has a few earworms I still remember to this day like... 16 or 17 years later, damn.

I've been meaning to check out Paprika (the show and soundtrack) for a while. I do know Parade and a few others from the soundtrack though, they're pretty great.

Oh, I almost forgot that I wanted to bring this up. Can we switch to a Youtube video of the Lucky Star OP for round two? The only option on animethemes has big purple lyrics all over everything and I really hated it. This video isn't as high quality but I'll take that over the purple lyrics any day. Other people may disagree I guess, I dunno. Just wanted to bring it up because I didn't like the lyrics making it hard to see the girls dancing

Zetsubou Billy is way better and that got curbstomped. It's kinda sad animation studios tend to go all out on OPs and the EDs are generally a lot more static on the whole though.

The one that got me the most interested to watch it -
Hikaru Nara - Your Lie in April premise sounds good and the animation looks nice. The IMDB score is pretty high so I assume it's a good anime?

The ones I hated the most - Both Death Note songs. God fuck this genre. Metal? Death Metal? whatever, it's just noise to me

funny you mention that because I also noticed there were 8 straight Dango Daikazoku & Hikaru Nara votes to end the round that forced the Dango tiebreaker. "only" 5 straight Dango's at the end of the tiebreaker at least.

It literally is though? That's why I nominated it. At least, I'm not familiar with other anime videos where the content is programmatically generated. I recall some of the code was posted to reddit. That seems noteworthy enough for me.

You're allowed to not like it, but your objection to it was factually incorrect.

I would argue that being the first to be used in a specific context does not make for much of a landmark, and at the end of the day we're not voting on how interesting the creation process was

regardless, when its opponent could be made by anyone in 1999 powerpoint it wins the animation category by an infinite amount

Just for the record I'd rate Real Folk Blues in the upper half of the bracket for visuals without much hesitation. I do agree Nana Hitsuji is still higher.

Wild Side / gravityWall winner going to the finals imo, on the right side I'm feeling the winner of the four-pack from today. Though I guess we still need to gauge Idol's true strength (though it has a breezy R2 match coming up too imo)

Re:Creators itself wasn't very good, but the OP song is great and I like the different types of anime characters showcased in it. The bits with them in the real world near their own advertising are neat
