Nothing racist about this... they should have asked permission first. It still would have been a surprise to any shoppers. It looks like they're doing it right near the checkouts so people can't pay for their shit and leave. I wouldn't want people to feel trapped in the store if I was the manager.

All they had to do was get permission and it's as simple as just calling the store and talking with the manager/whoever is in charge and if they agree to arrange the date/time/duration/areas to dance. If a 14 year old me was able to figure this out, she and her team could've easily have figure it out as well.

Is this flash mob far more noticeable? Sure, however from what I watched of that WS music video it was pretty fucking obvious for anybody who noticed them that they were filming something within their store for their own purposes.

Not saying it's racism necessarily, there's just definitely a difference in response from store employees.

Didn't he film his when the store was closed because an employee let him in after hours without notifying the managers?

Not saying it's better, because it's definitely not, but that's kind of the difference and why nobody called the cops

Well if that's the case then my bad for forgetting and/or not knowing that detail.

But we still haven't heard any form of lawsuit, reprimand, or indeed even statement from Target on how a person was allowed in after hours to literally film an anti-Target music video. They seem to just not care.

Looking it up I don't see any pushback from Target.

I don't even see anybody being fired or held accountable for it.

I feel like I don't need to give an explanation tailored for a child as to why a company should be up in arms for someone coming in after hours to specifically make an illicit music video shitting on their company, however you're also pushing me towards thinking maybe I have to.

This is absolutely not a "free thing" or any other such bullshit. Target saw this happen and just shrugged even though it's very illogical for a company to be chill with someone using their property illicitly to specifically make a music video shitting on them.

Making a video in your garage with a bunch of red decoration meant to emulate Target's color scheme? Ok, fine. That's not the same as literally being on their property as a means to spread hate-filled propaganda against their store and its operations.

The real tragedy here appears to be that this singer/none of their dancers knew anybody working there who could let them in after hours and then use their store property for their own financially beneficial objectives while not compensating the store whatsoever.

Which once again would still be better than Chud Dudley because he was specifically trying to hurt their business and operations.

Oops, I guess I gave that type of explanation anyways.

Oh boy, the guy who calls out others for "putting words in my mouth" is now claiming that I'm accusing it of being racist even though I haven't stated that.

The only thing I'm pointing out is that what Chud Dudley did is literally worse for the company and it's bottom-line than what this flash mob did, even if they did keep the employees an extra 30-60 mins because of their mv and Target doesn't seem to care about that so I doubt they actually care about this either, because the other was far worse.

This is super cool coming from the guy who is adamantly against a jury & judge deciding the death penalty only for cases of murder after weighing all the evidence and yet supports the cop shooting and killing Adam Toledo because the order was "drop the knife and turn around", and even though the video shows he dropped the knife while turning around, and never took a step towards the officer, you still justified that killing as necessary because he didn't exactly follow orders.

I wish I remembered the victim's name, unfortunately there's so many at the hands of extrajudicial police killings, but I also remember you saying it was a justified killing for that guy shot by like 6 officers as driving way for "possibly" trying to drive into an officer, even though the actual close-up bodycam footage showed that he was inches away from hitting her and even if he had it would have been a slight bump at 3-5 mph because he was just trying to escape and was reversing.

But hey, aren't you so moral for "justified" extrajudicial killings over officers shitting their pants in the heat of the moment but being opposed to a jury & judge examining hours/weeks/months worth of evidence to reach a conviction only for murder?

That's an important detail. No state would officially execute somebody for assaulting an officer, trying to flee, or for not following their orders to a t, our legal system only sentences people to death for murder, but hey, if a cop shits their pants in terror over preconceived notions that's just as good, right? Fuck their rights Judge Dredd ftw.

Just want to let everybody who's trying to cast moral aspersions against my character over "now I'm not saying it's racist".

Fuck off, you support police extrajudicial killings based off no actual threat to the officer or any facts, merely how they feel in the heat of the moment. Nothing you could say to try and damn my character would wound me greater than the fact that that's how you choose to live as someone staunchly against the death penalty which *at least* pretends to take facts and evidence into consideration over a length of time greater than 30 seconds.
