They need to make one based on the US History book released in Japan in the 1800s.

The one where John Adams fights a giant snake and Ben Franklin wields a cannon.

Europe got a much longer and richer history than USA so it make sense that you would do that, it would be tiresome to watch the Founding Fathers and Lincoln all the time.

I can't think of many foreign history movies that are considered American productions. A lot of British movies that are though.

I mean, the British and USA shares history, why would they not have made at least one movie about it?

Only up to about 300 years ago. Which isn't very long by world history's standards tbh.

I think the only reason it would make sense is if they were a part of that history. Like, I could see the French making a movie about how they assisted the Americans fight the British during the revolutionary war. Or about how America led the charge in liberating France from the Nazis on D-Day.

It's long enough to make movies considering the American media market detailing our own history.

No. I'm saying I can't think of many US-made movies dealing with foreign history. Most of that type of movie is British.

That isn't exclusive to the British. A lot of countries had extensive emigration to the Americas.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swedish_emigration_to_the_United_States

Emigration rose again at the turn of the 20th century, reaching a new peak of about 35,000 Swedes in 1903. Figures remained high until World War I, alarming both conservative Swedes, who saw emigration as a challenge to national solidarity, and liberals, who feared the disappearance of the labor force necessary for economic development. One-fourth of all Swedes had made the United States their home.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Emigrants_(film)#:~:text=The%20Emigrants%20won%20international%20acclaim,for%20Best%20Foreign%20Language%20Film.

We don't think about Sweden specifically being a big source of immigrants to the US but it was a huge deal to them to have a large portion of their population leave for here and it actually did spur them to change their government policies to make it more attractive to stay.
