Canadian Muslims are planning a Million Person March in Ottawa to protest against the push for LGBT ideology in schools. The protest, organized by Muslim activist Kamel El-Cheikh, aims to bring together Canadians of all faiths to stand against the indoctrination of children with LGBT ideology. El-Cheikh argues that schools are directly targeting Muslim children with this ideology, citing a pamphlet that claims Islam and homosexuality are not in conflict. He considers such a statement to be blasphemy.

In response to these protests, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau dismissed them, claiming they were fueled by the American right-wing and that online material was being weaponized. El-Cheikh criticized Trudeaus statements, equating LGBT ideology to a sin against the Muslim faith.

I say that because I've been on CE long enough to know that people are generally uncomfortable openly criticizing islam.

During pride month the only town in the US that has an entirely Muslim Town council banned pride flags from the entire town and nobody made a topic. Every once in awhile I'll run into a story like that and almost universally there won't be a topic on CE about it. I'm sure the folks who are strong advocates of these causes are seeing these stories too and actively choosing not to post about them. I can only speculate as to why.

There's nearly two billion muslims in the word. What most of us 'ultra left woke libruls' take issue with is harrasing every brown person on the street because they might be a terrorist.

That and there were criticisms when the same town, I believe, allowed their prayer chants to be played over loud speakers as well. Don't remember any accusations of Islamophobia either.

If you look at the UK's Muslim population the kids/second-generation immigrants (and on) are in general much more liberal (in the general sense, not the political sense) than their parents/first-generation immigrants. From my experience the same is happening here.
