Like the Game Grumps or OneyPlays Pokemon playthroughs. Just regular people dicking around and having fun.

The FR/LG gg playthrough was legendary I think they tried other games but they didn't go anywhere.

MandJTV and PM7 are my go-to Youtubers for casual Pokemon content. They do interesting and weird playthroughs, Metronome battles, catching competitions with each other (the John Michael Cup is one of the most entertaining things I've watched on Youtube recently) and other cool stuff.

Team four star has some funny nuzlocks.
I stopped watching them after they cheated on one of them.

I still remember the battle with Bork Laser the Snorlax in their Leaf Green nuzlocke. Their reactions were gold.

There are like a billion of these kinds of videos on Twitch and Youtube. Pokemon content became super profitable and now everybody and their mother is doing it, regardless of experience level.

Thanks for the recommendations, but stuff like metronome battles, catching competitions etc. is what I want to avoid. I get that these are versatile games and people play them in interesting ways and stuff, I don't want to seem like I'm disparaging that, but I just don't vibe with gimmicky stuff like that. It takes the game a bit too seriously - same with youtubers like Chuggaconroy.

Like idk, it's just good to see people sit down and dick around with the games as straightforward, personal adventures without doing a lvl 5 Soothe Bell Phanpy run y'know.

I like a lets play duo called 1ShotPlays on youtube and they're currently doing a Scarlet Nuzlocke playthrough. Haven't watched it since I've yet to play the game myself, but I enjoy their other stuff and they're very much "normal people dicking around and having fun"

You could just run around aimlessly in the games once the map really opens up.

I do that when I feel like a change of scenery. Beats going outside since my neighborhood has gang activity sometimes.

Their Soul Silver run is the best one by far.

But yeah them cheating in the Emerald run after the wipe against Winona was lame. And then the Platinum run where they just over leveled their starter also kinda sucked

Only pkmn yt channels i really watch are temp6t and pimpnite
