So are they rebooting or not? Every time I hear something about the Gunn DC stuff it contradicts what the last article said.

Yes, no and also maybe.

Edit: Really though, it's incredibly confusing. From the older continuity there's still an Aquaman 2 and a show about Amanda Waller coming. Peacemaker S2 is still planned as is Wonder Woman 3 apparently.

The Joker is getting a sequel in its own separate continuity. Same for The Batman 2 and the Penguin show.

There will be a new Superman and a new Batman. Whether these are entirely new continuities, or somehow tied into the previous ones (after Flash timeline shenanigans) is anybody's guess.

I honestly did not mind her as Wonder Woman.

This is definitely getting confusing and I feel like Gunn's stuff will just be some type of soft reboot.

They were saying Blue Beetle is the first of the new universe, but now I'm reading it's still part of the DCEU. Also, in the trailer, he mentions Superman.

They also told Dwayne Johnson they might need him again in the future.

The next Superman is also supposed to be when he was young, but just looks like a younger Cavill.

DC has been a hot mess since BvS if this isn't a complete reboot it's a waste of time and resources.

So they want to do a new Universe but only keep people that James Gunn personally likes.

She's nice, but I still want Henry Cavill as Superman.

Maybe they're just not bothering with a connected universe.

Like they've got The Batman. They've got Joker. They already don't have one really.

For now they just need to focus on good movies. We know the new Superman is its own thing. If that hits then think about what he can crossover with and how that will work.

I think it's meant to be a reboot, but he's keeping some elements that he thought worked.

I definitely thought Gal Gadot was a great choice for Wonder Woman so I don't mind her being brought back.

Yep, I see most super hero movies that comes out and even I really couldnt care less. I think Cavill was a really great Superman but meh, whatever. If the new stuff looks entertaining Ill watch it, if it has dumb inconsistent world moments then Ill laugh about them and enjoy the dumb movie.

You could multiverse it. Like some stay the same and some are changed. Flash and SM is where this is a problem. Flash is Barry, SM is Clark. Its not like changing Heard out. They are both pillar characters.

Really think a hard reboot would have been best. DC has no goodwill right now. Hope everything works out but I dunno.

Shea a great wonder woman, but Gunn would probably want a much younger actress for his new universe understandably.

Shes a good Wonder Woman but this is weird. Guess more multiverse dickery will be used to fit her in.

It is a bit odd though. Isn't James Gunn striking? He ain't making anything anytime soon. Superman probably won't even make 2025 at this rate.

Maybe they're just scrambling to get stuff out sooner.

I don't see how WW is coming back when WW84 was just so horrible. Expect for Cheetah that was the best part of the movie. I would pay just to see her.

It's not so much about the in-world explanation, after all that's easily done by blaming multiverse and time travel or whatever.

The issue is more that the DCEU brand has become box office poison at this point. Birds of Prey, WW84, The Suicide Squad, Black Adam, Shazam 2 and The Flash were the last theatrical releases and none of them were a hit. Making a straight sequel to this franchise might make the audience hesitant to see it, regardless of its quality and regardless of the people in charge behind the scenes.

2 of those have no direct connection to the main part of the universe. They use a character in that universe. The comics do this alot where you have paralell stories with the same character do different things at the same time it's published. Most of the time its a multiverse thing
WW84 was just writing.

Shazam and Black adam. BA was pushed out too early.

The Flash while the movie is good. It's main star off screen antics harmed it's BO

It's kinda like Marvel hyping up mutants and the F4. Didnt learn a damn thing. Everything was going so well and they just drop it in the fucking stone age.

I want Circe as the main villain in a film, and later another film where Circe leads a team of supervillainesses including Cheetah, Giganta, Silver Swan, Veronica Cale, Doctor Cyber, Doctor Poison Also Wonder Woman would have more allies like Wonder Girl (Cassie), Donna Troy, Artemis, Nubia

I like Gadot was WW, I don't really understand what's going on when people talk about the Gunn universe or rebooting, if someone wouldn't mind explaining for me.
