I literally didnt know it had a name until now but yep. Absolutely hate it (though I think its lessened as I got older).

As for appointments and so on most places where I am have electronic systems though I suppose that would be regional.

Yeah I have it real bad. Much worse than I do face to face social anxiety (which I still have pretty bad too)

I also have a horrible time scheduling appointments and the like.

Yes and yes. Though having to be on call for my grandma most of the day this year has reduced it significantly for me.

No autism as far as I know, just anxiety.

I have to write down exactly what I want to say and some possible responses before I'm comfortable.

Alternatively, choose places that have online booking.

I have social anxiety in general, but for whatever reason it much worse on the phone. I once lost internet for three days before I called Comcast about it because I didn't want to be stuck on the phone with them for half an hour.

I might have fallen into this camp, but then I got a job that required talking to unhappy people on the phone so you have to get over it pretty quick.

I have worked at a vet for over 10 years and do phone calls and have to talk to clients ALL the time.

It hasn't gotten better in the slightest. I still have severe anxiety about most people interactions. It's not so bad when I know 100% what I'm talking about or know what's going on, but as soon as I'm not sure about something or don't know how to respond, I instantly crumble and get flustered and panic.

I used to, then I didn't for a couple years, and now I do again. It's bizarre. The strategies I have for dealing with other kinds of anxiety don't super help either.

I've always dreaded the very idea of talking on the phone. It's a bizarre thing because I'm not bad at it by any means; I've always been told I'm personable on the phone, but it's getting over that hump of dialing and initiating that for some reason just instills dread in me. The phone is just this mystical thingamajig that gets my anxiety pumping, regardless of the situation.
