The problem with Centrists is many of them get all their information from conservatives.

What conservatives believe: They listen to conservatives.
What liberal believe: They also listen to conservatives.

So they might oppose some of the batshit insane things conservatives support, but then they're like "Same thing both sides!"

One liberal believes something, and apparently ALL liberals believe it. But if 50% of conservatives agree on something, well it's not really something conservatives believe.

What did this even mean? CEmen being sheltered and hostile has nothing to do with me being a centrist. And me being a centrist has everything to do with believing that compromise and pleasing the most people is always the best option and that the 2 party system is bullshit.
What is the compromise between bigotry and equality? How are we to please a faction who's entire platform is to oppose the other faction? Do you really have an ideology if it is defined by the positions of others rather than its own values?

The problem with compromising is that it's only viable when the parties involved are operating under good faith. That simply is not the political world we live in today.

He pines to follow in the footsteps of Neville Chamberlin. The truest of all centrists as he managed to get actual power.

[LFAQs-redacted-quote]

As someone who has the "both parties are bad" viewpoint, and I know some others who do as well, it's less about compromise between two bad things and trying to do what ever-so-little that can be done to vote for and support the least bad options.

But yeah, there's also this problem:

Legit a thing. Most people who claim to be centrists are just stealth conservatives that want to be one without the backlash.
