No. The last season is kind of hillariously rushed in terms of pacing, but the plot never really changes from "kill new minions -> get sword powerup > destroy latest barrier -> Naraku runs away -> Kikyo is maybe dead and InuYasha can't decide who he wants -> new minions appear and repeat."

Final Act is decent. The main show peaked around season 4 though.

Not worth finishing considering they made a sequel anyway.

I'd agree with this. After the Band of Seven arc, it's the same monster of the week/get sword upgrade/get slightly closer to killing Naraku. I still enjoyed the rest of it but I can understand people skipping it.

The Final Act is a mid show, a bunch of the episodes feel super rushed and cramped. The final arc does okay I guess, but I'm not a big fan of the story developments.

It's a 6/10 ending. I like where it leaves the characters, but I don't really buy the resolution y'know.

I finally finished it a couple years ago. It's crazy how all 7 seasons are them basically chasing Naraku.

This is pretty spot on and definitely describes every single season.

And don't forget the part where Naraku forces Miroku to absorb too many bugs/miasma and we need to be reminded that the void in his hand could break open any moment, leading to a touching scene between him and Sango only for the romantic tension to be interrupted because he's being lewd on his deathbed.

Oh, and the scene of Sesshoumaru wandering in the woods lamenting that his sword can only heal things and he just really wants a good killing sword.

Takahasi is the queen of stalling.

I've seen probably the first half of the series, and considering they're chasing Naraku the entire time, I was honestly shocked at the first minutes of that one movie where they catch up to him.

Not a fan of the series, but boy if it isnt the strongest jolt of nostalgia I've ever felt any time it comes up.

I totally forgot the movies where the only actual hook for each is a scene in the trailer where it's like "they might actually kiss!" because the franchise built its popularity entirely on blue balling anyone hoping for any of the relationships to grow or evolve beyond their set state.

She's reducing the fanservice after Inuyasha, tho.
Maison Ikkoku is one of the good ones.

The others like Mao or Rinne feels like Inuyasha but different settings.

There are plenty minor series like Mermaid Saga, but not much fanservice.

It's Kagura (she gets her top blown off twice, it happens in the anime, too, but obviously doesn't show the front). Both times it's really to show the spider tattoo on her back.

I can't speak for the final arc, but I would say that the series overall took a dip in quality after a few dozen episodes. I want to say that peak was a two parter where they first revealed that Inuyasha lost his powers and became a human one night every month, but with the show losing its touch entirely basically after introducing the windscar and with Naraku changing from being a scheming genius using his fodder underlings to consistently weaken and exhaust the group before an eventual coup de grace to take them out to being really nothing more than an afterthought once he got too scared of the wind scar.

This is based on my memory watching the show on Adult Swim ages ago.

You probably jumped ship a little early. Naraku was only scared of the Wind Scar during its debut episode. It was mainly Kagura who was afraid since she had the wind powers as well.

Show really peaked around season 4. The fights between the main cast and the band of seven absolutely slapped.

Shows biggest issue was the amount of filler though so I can understand people who didnt stay for the long haul. Although some of the filler was admittedly good for a laugh. The episode with the theatre group in modern day was hilarious.

I didn't stop there, I think I only stopped with the previously final season or the penultimate one to that. It felt like 50+ episodes of slog to me, though.

Inuyasha is alright but the pacing is so bad.

I liked Yashahime more tbh

Apparently the Gloom in Tears of the Kingdom is called miasma in Japanese (and basically every language other than English). It's easy to be reminded of Inuyasha when hearing that.

Kinda on the fence about yashahime.
The cast isn't as memorable as inuyasha and there's a significantly less gore in yashahime. Also the fanservice is pretty light, didn't see the rest of season 2 but this is largely apparent in season 1.

I remember my sister being a big fan of it back in her middle/high school days, then she eventually admitted that InuYasha himself was a two-timing bastard and ended up losing interest in it. Sesshmaru was always her absolute favorite.

Then came Yasha Hime, where Sesshmaru is turned into a groomer. Can't mention anything related to the series anymore without constant glares, growls, and the occasional "Shut the fuck up about it!".

Can't blame her, honestly.
