Getting a new phone above potato level in two weeks, so I will probably go back to the deep end of gacha gaming again.

Any recommendation for some newcomers?

I'm probably open to most of them, except Fate and Arknights, since I already tried them out ages ago.

I am endlessly recommending Guardian Tales.

I like FFBE War of the Visions, Honkai Star Rail, and, believe it or not, the idle game Omniheroes. Granted Ive only been playing Omniheroes for about two weeks now so its still in the honeymoon phase. But what surprised me is that they make good on the ads that say you get 777 draws (over one week). And it seems like you get another 777 draws after, although theyre more spread out.

Star rail is fun, but the equipment and skill grind is fucking awful.

If you don't mind that, it is very good. I couldn't tolerate it myself.

Is anyone familiar with Alien Invasion:RPG Idle Space? Its that game where you control that weird spider-ish tentacle monster thing and it grabs and eats people to get stronger.

I wanted to try it out because it looks like a decent pick up and play time waster, but Im somewhat concerned about all the data it collects. Ive never seen a game need so much info.

Season 2 is wrapping up in a few months. It's worth it for the story if nothing else.

It's become my main game as of late. The relic grind can be very tedious, but loving the rest of it. Definitely understand not being able to deal with it.

Got my Chibiusa so now my account has gotten a huge power boost so doing the "end game" content available is now actually viable.

I don't really mind the grind, but that's because I play Epic Seven which is much more demanding since it's heavily PvP focused.

But in HSR the equipment grind is more if you want the optimal stuff. In E7 you damn well better have maxed speed gear with the right substats up the wazoo or you're just gonna die before you get a turn :<

Also, Jingliu is coming soon, so I gotta keep pushing forward :3

My problem with Star Rails was that even though there's no PVP, even the PVE was less convincing than E7 during their debut. E7's Wyvern lvls were really interesting to build for when your character pool and armor sets were ass. Really frustrating but far more interesting in terms of allowing for creativity

HSR had a lot of poorer copies of what E7 had at launch with a worse overall roster and worse boss designs. I guess not quite to the level of what Artery Gear did. Maybe they really picked it up since I left, in terms of boss designs and interesting ideas, but I just didn't want to retread E7-likes for the 3rd or so time.

I know 3D is always gonna be harder to develop for, but it's hard to argue against content if you plan on playing a game long term. Star Rails ran out of content, and the last of what they had was pretty lackluster. I get why it's doing so well though, but their sales figure and playerbase shows that Mihoyo as a company has a pool of ppl who will spend all their money for the games within their universe. They're not really good at bringing new audience in

Hoyo just gets its money from people looking for the pretty models and animations. So as long as they keep up with those 2 things they'll keep printing money

Yeah they get more than most companies for live service type games tbf. So even if they're not attracting new audience per the rare times they release something new, they're still fine. But they didn't really grab me, and I dunno if I'd jump on their stuff for the 3rd time. I wasn't impressed with Genshin, was initially much more into Star Rails then saw its cracks appear one by one. I don't think I would ever play their games again, I think

I guess GFL2 is gonna be make or break. I'm worried that they're gonna struggle to keep up with content, cuz any time any company goes for bigger graphics, they always suffer. Snowbreak started their event off with a frigging month cycle and added a single character, lost most of their players. It has similar graphics to GFL2

Yeah, I think Snowbreak needed more time in the oven with maybe another beta test or two. At the very least, it would have given the developer time to cook on new content for the game and stay ahead of what they release. Right now, it seems like we're getting long events to pass the time while they work on the next thing. You can't really do that anymore with today's demand, even if there's already lots to do. People are always wanting the next big thing and get bored quickly.

Yah, GFL is dated due to being a Kancolle clone and thus extremely friendly to players in terms of pocket. Definitely not on time.

As for GFL 2, all they need is just to add sex in the dorm and the game will sell.

They added this in PNC. They are fully capable of adding an implicit scene with the Dolls in GFL 2 dorm.

1.1 and 1.3 were definitely not fantastic story content wise, but the events so far have mostly been excellent.

1.3 especially added a much needed secondary 'end game' mode in Simulated Universe: Swarm Disaster

So I just downloaded a gacha game called Star Lusts. If you can't tell by the name, it's a hentai gacha game, but I was actually interested in this one for basically everything except the hentai stuff. It's a bullet hell game where you play as a cute/sexy mecha musume instead of a dumb boring spaceship, and I've been waiting for another decent game like that since Triggerheart Exelica, which came out almost two decades ago.

I'm still in the process of re-rolling, but just based on the two tutorial battles that you have to do each time you re-roll, the bullet hell gameplay is fun and feels really smooth. I'll give more thoughts after I get a decent roll and play the game more.

I'm sorta interested in that, but my account is banned since I did chargebacks after they made it too much of a pain to install Tenkafuma on iOS.

Make a new account with a different e-mail? You don't have to use the same one. Plus, you can re-roll with a guest account before binding. Then again, I don't know if this game will be any easier for you to play on iOS. I'm on Android and I've never had problems.

The game is pretty fun, they make rerolling easy as well with the guaranteed SSR in 20 pulls. Gotta say that the auto AI is on the boarder of godawful though, pretty much useless for bosses since they don't make much of an effort to dodge bullets.

I'm pretty sure I got the same coral mimic girl as you (Astraea) as one of my two SSR's, but my other one was the killer whale loli with the big fuckoff laser beam (Allee). Those two plus Mia the default girl have gotten me through the first two chapters so far.

I always try to clear a stage on manual first before I let the game auto it. Sometimes the auto-battle gets a better time than my human reflexes can manage because it moves faster, but sometimes it doesn't because Allee's big fuckoff laser beam locks her in place when she uses her special move and the auto-battle might waste like 10 seconds by using it at a terrible time and not hitting anything with it.

Yeah, the "environmental damage" DoT feels like a bigger obstacle than the actual enemies sometimes. It's a blatant stat check, and there's a point where it's less "get better" and more "come back at a higher level" because you simply don't have the damage output to clear a level before the DoT gets you no matter how good you play. That feeling always sucks in games like this. But I will say, when you're playing a stage that feels like it's right for your level and not too hard, the gameplay feels really good and I appreciate that.

So, what's the consensus on Nikke: The Goddess of Victory? It certainly has some good "plot."

Ended up pulling a 2nd of the Coral Mimic in Star Lusts, unlocked her lood scene, which was in the A not the V, if you catch my drift. It was kinda weird but also had lore, which is that she's a monster who takes the ideal shape of the person she wants to impress.

UR is a pretty big buff... she's stronger than my DPS atm so I swapped all my eq to her. Now I'm starting to S++ stages

Btw, it's just like other games with artificial progression gating. Your team's avg lvl plays into how much dmg you take. So just make sure to lvl all 3 units
