She's fuckn awesome!! Me and her went to Punta Cana at the beginning of June, after her surgery and when they said she was good to travel, she wanted to get the f out for awhile! But she also has plans for Mexico with her daughter mid-August. She's so amazing! Been thru hell and back, long night in the hospital, even longer nights up at home. Glad to say this chapter is done, she has a stent left in by her kidney, that procedure to get it out won't be til next month, but after than mostly just check ups and check ins, she should be back to her usual routine. She's having a rough week from the chemo, but it's the last time she'll have to feel like this! One of the last time she had to stay in the hospital for a week, those weeks are the worst. I have to work so I can't be there with her, but her mom is there with her during visiting hrs. By the time I get out of work and to the hospital I usually have less than an hr with her before visitation is over. She kicked the shit out of it! Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer can fuck off! Every chemo session did what it was supposed to do, she was able to get the surgery (Hysterectomy and others) and the recovery for it went well. Other than dealing with the chemo side effects she's had a good week. I think physically she'll be able to recover fine, but mentally it's been a tough last 2 years, we had 4 deaths in the family last year, 1 at the beginning this year (Her father, grandfather, young student she cared for, my cousin and grandmother) All of this while fighting for her life.
