Jokes about "white people food" aside, Mayonnaise is gross, but garlic sauce is helped by having a ton of garlic in it as well as herbs. So if you have to have some white spread on your chicken club sandwich or mcburger, at least garlic sauce is actually pretty good thanks to the garlic part.

I think it should be sriracha sauce, or honey sriracha sauce. Any sort of sandwich or burger is just way better replacing mayo with one of those.

asian dishes use mayonaise as well, and it would be stupid to consider siricha a causcasion food staple.

The joke- mayo is white people food
The real statement- mayo is gross
That's how the phrase is used. You can't set aside the joke, if there was no joke. Even if he did misuse a phrase, saying it makes them look like a buffoon only makes you look like a jerk. We're all misinformed on things of that caliber, so be careful.

Garlic aioli is awesome. I'd love more of it used as a spread. I don't love mayo, but why do so many hate it so much? If it's not your thing, that's fine, but there's so much venom directed towards it.

And making fun of any group's food or condiment preferences isn't very nice.

Mayo is great, but beyond that acting like a highly popular condiment around the world is somehow not deserving of accolades just because one doesn't like it is the peak of hubris.

The closest to it being anything else is pointing out that "Caucasian people", as nebulous a term as that is, are not particularly the ultimate purveyors of mayo. As shown by this board there is a very heavy penchant for being terrified of trying new foods and mayo is far more utilized in different dishes once you go to Asia.

It's not a real thing. The writers for Undercover Brother made up the stereotype so they'd have something funny for their movie and it's proliferated ever since. Tell me about it, I don't know how some people can stand it. That's why I think it should be replaced with garlic sauce instead, to ease those people into the change from mayo sauce before we show them darker and even richer seasonings and sauces. Thus eliminating mayo forever.

It can be, but generally it isn't. For instance I have a killer garlic oil recipe that uses no eggs (which is basically what makes up mayonnaise in bulk).

White sauce just doesnt do it for me. Sausage gravy is about the closest I can get.

Now the clearer dark Asian garlic sauce or whatever it's called is fucking righteous. I could eat nothing but garlic and onions for the rest of my life and be happy.

it is a de facto mother sauce served in many forms all over the world
