Rogan isn't half as dumb as he claims. He uses it as a way to avoid consequences. He has been around too long to play ignorant and get away with it. He is corrected on subjects all the time, given more information and then turns around on the next show and acts like he was never told anything.

Whatever else may be said about him, Rogan seems like hes sincere and believes what hes saying. Whether thats better or worse, I dont know.

He seems like a pure idiot.

That's not what the tweet says, Dr. K posts primary sources that talk about how athletes made for poor warriors due to their specialized diets and habits. Out in campaign what was actually important was the ability to endure the hardships of being out in campaign which were not the ideal conditions for the people it talks about. He even recounts how the Greek athlete Dioxippos was driven to suicide by the Macedonian soldiers in Alexander's army for being a "useless, bloated animal".

So is this proof Rogan is left wing? I mean, he used dewormer to attempt to treat a virus, which definitely isn't healthy for you.

If being healthy was right-wing, Trump would've stood a better chance at being re-elected.

I saw the responses to the MSNBC article - never have I seen so many people completely miss the point. Fitness isn't far right, the far right is coopting fitness spaces and using some combat gyms as recruiting grounds.

I'm not exactly shocked that Rogan glanced at the title of an opinion piece and came away with that conclusion.

It's likely all a bit too similar to his own current popularity for him to be comfortable with anything more than a knee-jerk.

Holy fuck. This is not an ambiguous or deceptive article title. You do not need to read the article to see that Rogan and Musk are talking through their assholes as usual.

"The far right's obsession with fitness is going digital" does not, in any way whatsoever, suggest that an obsession with fitness is a trait exclusive to the far right, or that an obsession with fitness means one is of the far right. It suggests that the far right has an obsession with fitness. In other words, it is roughly parallel to "If you have a mindset roughly in line with the far right (based on this research), then you probably have an obsession with fitness," rather than the converse, "If you have an obsession with fitness, then you have a mindset roughly in line with the far right." Do we need to teach basic logic or set theory again? Well, yes, we obviously do.

It doesn't. But when you control the narrative like Rogan and Musk do you can convince people they saw whatever you wanted them to see.

For what it's worth, the literal Nazi's made it a super big deal that physical fitness was very important. In fact, they said it was your duty to be fit and healthy for the Reich.

That doesn't mean every fitness nut was a Nazi... but there was a good chance that if you were a Nazi you were also a fitness nut, as that's literally what was commanded of you by your leaders.

Who could have ever imagined that a bunch of people who use strong arm tactics and military power to enforce their ideas of racial supremecy and impose their toxic, alpha tough guy bullshit on people would also hit the gym. I'm completely shocked, I tells ya!
