Is the romance story for the lead dude and the prince decent? Can't tell from the trailer how prominent it's gonna be.

I wasn't much of a fan of Goldenloin most of the film, but it is a more prominent part of the film when compared to something like Strange World. Never shied away from and plays a pretty important role in the storytelling if that's what you're wondering about.

Very excellent film; I'm glad this somehow survived the demise of Blue Sky Studios. Disney probably wouldn't have been as bold with the decisions made in this movie.

Yes, it takes a back seat to the relationship of the main character and the titular character, but it is still very prominent, sweet, and compelling.

Yea it's a really really good movie. Nimona is a great character, love the relationships between the characters, the animation is very fun. My only complaint is that the starting events that pop the plot off felt a little rushed but that also gives more time for the journey which is fun.

Super good, we watched it last weekend. Highly recommend

Oh wait, that's different from the Pokemon S/V rival, Nemona. I thought the name seemed familiar.

I watched it and I enjoyed it for the most part but definitely had issues with parts of it.

The main villain was very eh with shitty motives / character that they didn't build on like at all.

Ballister turning on Nimona and causing the end sequence felt so out of place. He swung way too far way too quickly against Nimona given how he was in the rest of the movie and what he had been asking of Goldenloin all movie.

Personal gripe but I wanted more out of Nimona's backstory. Like I know how she got to be where she is but I wanted to know about what she actually was.

The book's good too, and a bit different!

I hadn't realized they got to finish the movie, I thought it was just fully dead in the water after the Disney acquisition/shutdown.

Yep, watched it last week. It was excellent. The character development and relationships in particular were very well written.

This year won't be nearly as competitive as last year, so I'd say it's mostly guaranteed a spot.

Spreading more awareness bump

Watched it Saturday. Really good movie.

Just finished. The only dissapointing thing about the movie is the nearly 20 minutes of credits making me think there was going to be a last minute final act twist because of the runtime.

This will be my final bump. I'm glad I could get the word out and convince some of you to watch it. You're welcome, and I'm glad y'all enjoyed.
