ye, i kinda agree. Isn't it hard for a lot of people to cry sometimes , based on emotion, even if they want to?

Idk about him but I cry all the damn time.

Generally I'd say no, but I'd put the rules like this:

If we are playing the "tough guys don't cry, so don't cry" game, then yeah you are a bit weak if you can't help but cry.

But there is nothing "weak" about having agency about when you allow yourself to express emotion and then engaging in such an expression. If you are allowing yourself to engage in emotions then being emotional is not weak, arguably it's strong because it shows you have control over yourself and your own volatility.

there's a few movies that have made me cry, and several episodes of tv shows. I don't remember if there's a game that's made me cry, but it might have happened?

there's also some music that makes me cry basically any time I hear it, and some music that has made me cry in the right context

My GF says the same about me. Usually nothing (in real life) breaks me. I always remain calm/rational when problems arise and find solutions very quickly.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I can cry during watching movies. Showing empathy, even towards fictional characters, isn't weak. It's strong, and a good trait.

I mean kind of? It's more hopeful than anything else.

It's a movie about a couple that decides they're finally ready to have kids, but end up leaning towards adoption.

Then, when they feel a connection with a teenager, and decide they want to talk to her, turns out she has 2 little siblings. They decide to try them on and "ta-da!" Instant Family.

It's such a sweet movie and the message about adoption is a good one. It's based on a true story and they show the family it's about in the credits and I was a blubbering mess by the end of it.

eh, if you can't control them, they basically are.

If you can control when you let yourself be emotional then they aren't. They are healthy/responsible.
