In the U.S, a person can be remanded to the department of corrections if they are deemed to be a flight risk. During this time in jail, the prosecution can gather evidence.

Well, Tate had made 2 videos talking about why he was moving to Romania, one was because he viewed everybody as more openly corrupt, which he deemed as more fair because the average person has access to the benefits of corruption instead of only the wealthy elite (the difference of being able to bribe a cop to look the other way with $50 instead of $5000). The 2nd was because they have more lax rape laws, though I believe the context he used that for was that it's harder for people reporting rape to have their story believed or investigated. Basically, "these bitches and sluts aren't going to take me down with their "false" rape accusations", is likely how he thought of it.

And I'm sure it's totally a coincidence that he is being charged with rape after stating he was moving to said country because it's harder for women to have reports of rape taken seriously. Just like it's totally a coincidence that Ron Watkin's dad moved to the Philippines, where the AoC is 12, and then got himself a 12 year old bride.

He's going to a Romanian prison and his fanbase is based off English. I'm not even sure he knows Romanian himself (according to Google he doesn't). You shouldn't assume his fanbase is as strong in non-English speaking countries as it would be in the UK, USA, Canada, and Australia. Looking it up, there's about 7 "What do Romanians think about Andrew Tate?" videos, and no legitimate articles.

Don't get me wrong, there's no doubt Romanian versions of Andrew Tate we're not privy to because similarly nobody here speaks Romanian, it's just rather evident that part of the reason Tate went there was to hide his activities from the law, not try to become a Romanian star.
