InuYasha is a long-running action show set in the Warring States era of Japanese history. The title character is a half-human dog demon, he uses a huge sword and goes around killing Japanese demons. The show is fairly bloody, and there's this greater conflict with this thing called the Shikon Jewel and a nefarious entity named Naraku - it's really good. This one might be out of your wheelhouse, but there's a slice of life show named Golden Time about university students. There's a ton of great drama involving amnesia and stuff, it sounds hokey but it takes a pretty heavy turn towards the end. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I don't know where the dub came from. People have claimed I have misremembered, or flat out mistaken on having the dubbed version of lovers again, let alone watching it. I wasn't crazy (not at that point in life ;) ) right now I have the nostalgia in the sequel series both physically and on Prime. It does not have the same story or luster of the original though. It was a while before Harmony Gold went crazy, so DYRL, 2 and Plus was released on VHS in NA. Dont know about DYRL, but both 2 and Plus also got a DVD release. Funny thing is that DYRL was first released as Clash of the Bionoids, which was heavily censored and badly cut. I think they cut away one third of the movie. The European version had only a handful of seconds cut.
