If you wanted to go full conspiracy theory, you could make an argument that The Idol is aversion therapy by the big anti-sex scene mob, because nothing makes us want to perceive even the illusion of sex ever again less than watching The Weeknd, without even a shred of emotion, say fucking stretch that tiny little pussy in a vanity close-up.

Obviously it's biased, but from this article and the comments I saw, the show is mostly just thinly veiled torture porn.

The very first bit made me remember that scene from the first Watch Dogs. Except not entirely.

really the only aspects of the show i like have to do with the backstage scenes showing the inner workings of the music industry. other than that, i really don't care about the romance between Johnny Depp's daughter and The Weeknd...

and yeah, that sex scene (if we can call that) from episode 2 was goofy as fuck. i dunno who exactly wrote those lines but if it was actually Abel himself, then wow! what the hell dude! lmao
