You could make $80,000 only knowing HTML. Major corporations were desperate to have an Internet presence, even if it was just an informational site with static web pages. That was a good time.

Nostalgia
Since the invention of smart phones, I never have to be bored again. Everything before constant access to the internet was horrific
I've never seen a person on a smart-phone who didn't look bored out of their skull.

Honestly, it still does. As awful as it is to say I would rather have this happening as a rarity but still too common to bi weekly mass school shootings.

Probably the same reason why some users put d in place of t (e.g. Vegy) or spell website as websight.
Ive always wondered at the mental illness behind people who do that kind of stuff. Like, its one thing if youre a dumb kid but Ill never understand how grown-ass adults can be into trolling and acting like a fool lol

It's understood that the topic title refers to American everyday life. For a good chunk of the rest of the world, it was definitely not the best decade to have to live through.

Mid to late 90's, never really got into the "grunge" subculture and I feel it was better afterwards.

This has been quoted twice now but can anyone give if even just a 10 word elaboration ?

It just was I think people where cooler back then like underground and mainstream where both dope at the time. The internet was small. I also think the 90s and 2000s people looked at selling out to get rich as lame in the 2010s really 2014 the social media era made it where Selling Out was the only thing worth doing fast forward and authoritarianism is what people consider rebellious.

also the 2000s was all about The Matrix and video games and Anime
