Trends change over time, sometimes for the worse (franchises, microtransactions) The 90s had its share of shit just like it had its share of gold. So did the 2000s and 2010s and so far 2020s. Cellphones weren't the "I have my entire life on this thing" box, social media wasn't the all consuming tire fire it is now, and you could have opinions without starting arguments and actually talk about them on a personal level without having to pull up a Wikipedia page every sentence. I will never not miss that. Not to say things are bad now, but stuff was way fucking less stressful when you weren't expected to be connected to everything 24/7.
