Because in terms of dating women only really need to look good (instead of having to for example approach, pay for stuff, or make their partner feel protected), so a fat woman is seen as failing her only job.

A fat guy could still be charismatic, wealthy, or strong, and for the purposes stated above these traits are just as important for men as their looks.

Nobody is pretending fat men arent insulted or treated worse: fat shaming is a problem for everyone and unrealistic body standards hurt men too. Its a matter of degree; on average, fat men are more acceptable to society than fat women and face less harassment.

I mean, its not about my satisfaction lol. Im saying it must be terrible to have such low, silly standards. I date people who are intelligent, interesting, funny, and unique. People with shared interests and a shared understanding of the world, with good communication skills. Being attractive matters too, but if your only criteria is I dont hate them and theyre hot thats pretty sad.
