And that's why this right leaning moderate has voted only once for a Republican presidential candidate since 1996 when I could start voting (George W. Bush in 2000). Every other vote has gone to the Democrats. But I also don't agree with the GOP stance on certain things. But for this to happen, I believe people need to take more personal accountability and better define need vs want. What kind of candidate would I like to see going forward? I'd like to see candidates who act on their beliefs without the lobbyists keeping them under their thumb. I'd like to see a candidate who can call out the current GOP for the shit that's gone on too long (which again would rely on people taking accountability for themselves). I'd like to see someone unafraid to stir the pot for the greater good. Just my 2 cents. Can it happen? Sure. Will it? Now as far as the rest of the site the American conservative mindset is more prevalent, sure. Not here.
