The same amount of time has passed between Bowling For Soup releasing 1985 and now as there was between Bowling For Soup releasing 1985 and the year 1985.

Were a contemporary recording artist to write the song today, it would be about an uncool mother of two high schooler aged children pining for a youth spent listening to Bowling For Soup.

Cleopatra lived closer to the release of Teenage Dreams by Katy Perry than when the pyramids were built.

I.e., there were ancient ancient-Egyptian archeologists.

That was actually a running joke we had in high school... in 1995.

The graphing calculators we used in class had more processing power and RAM than the Apollo mission.

(also, some of us downloaded Wing Commander onto them)
