Difficulties with task initiation can be the reason for procrastination, as can being averse to whatever task you're procrastinating.

In Factorio's case, though, I'm not sure if it's necessarily either. Speaking from my own experience, a non-trivial amount of my playtime is spent not really doing anything while I think about how I want to do things, and the realization that I didn't get anything meaningful done in a given session can make it harder to find the motivation for subsequent sessions. You can help avoid that by making a definite to-do list and thinking about what needs to happen to complete each step outside of the game, then you've got specific tasks to tackle once you load it up.

I'm still plugging away at Space Exploration, but between playing through Xenoblade 3 ahead of FR's release, playing FR, and now playing Zelda, it's sitting quite squarely on the back burner.

It's not specifically Factorio related.

When I turn on Elden Ring, I wanna play Monster Hunter; When I turn on Monster Hunter, I wanna play Elden Ring.

When I have Peglin on I wanna play Barony, but I'm playing Peglin cuz I was playing Hyperrogue

Whenever I turn on a game I tend to idle and think about playing something else
