Reactionary writing has plagued comics for decades but Marvel and DC really do not have anything else anymore all their creativity died ages ago honestly comics as a whole seem to be suffering it

I think Ms Marvel is "big" enough of a name to not stay dead. She's not Batman big or Wolverine big, but she's not fucking Ted Kord-tier, either. >_>

Hell getting killed is basically a superheroe's rite of passage these days. If you don't die, are you even really a super? In fact, I'm fairly certain the only person on that cover who has never died in main continuity is Carol lol

Anyway I'm pretty sure the stupidest thing remains having a bunch of mass murdering villains show up at Ground Zero and cry about 9/11.

She'll be back in time for "The Marvels" release in November, probably with her MCU powers instead of her classic ones like you're thinking.

They just might retcon her to being a mutant like her MCU version. If they do make her a mutant, she will just be resurrected by the Five on Krakoa like the other mutants.

Adult Cyke has all of teen Cyke's memories. This was shown in an issue where the Champions were being hunted and Cyke protected them.

I have no idea how anyone would be expected to care. Comic books are a mess of alternate universes, weird timelines, and retcons, and deaths just don't matter.

Superman died in a Superman comic. He didnt get killed of as an afterthought in an issue of Aquaman for the sole purpose of making Aquaman sad.

This is what 52 is about and that book ended up being awesome. I don't really care though as I was never going to read it anyway.

I just can't get mad at someone being killed off in Marvel or DC comics. Especially not a popular character. She's way too popular for her death to last that long.

I am numb to this stuff. Even deaths that look permanent are eventually undone. The last death that really angered me was just undone at DC with Roy Harper just reuniting with Lian, so yeah I can't bring myself to care.

yeah, comic book deaths rarely stick, but that still means you're without that character for a time. And people exaggerate like they come back next issue, but character deaths usually stick for a couple years before being brought back.

God comics suck. This is coming from someone who had a subscription for years trying to keep up with the storylines and different iterations. Having them be canned or end whilst having a "new 52" or some shit come out, its a fucking mess.

I have no idea how people even stand the incoherent mess of an actual flow of story telling.

I ended my subscription and have hundreds of comics under my bed in boxes, half of them unread because I was simply tired of that shit.

She had a recent live action series and has a movie coming out this year. She'll be back before the end of the year. That or the entire death is a fake-out from the start.

The Spider-Man subreddit is super pissed about it lol. This run has been absolutely garbage and the writer was hyping up this issue to be this huge turning point and that he was warned by the editors to avoid conventions because fans would be mad at him.

And this is still so shockingly idiotic that it took people by surprise.
