With spring upon us, my neighborhood ice cream truck has revved up its engines and repetitive music. It's aggravating when I'm on a walk and hear the same 10-second tune over and over again... That music must drive the driver crazy, right?

Anyway, do you have an ice cream truck near you too?

No but there's this guy who's got a little cart with bells on it who goes around the neighborhood sometimes

Not often. I live in a house in the city but there's not really any kids anywhere near my block.

Never. We live in the burbs. Back when i was in the hood wed get the ice cream truck like 3 times a day

Yep, every single day. I've just moved recently to the next town and still get it (different Ice Cream van/tune of course).

I live deep in the burbs but we still get one once a week or so. Not really enough to be annoying, but vaguely weird and creepy.

Invade? No. Drive down my neighborhood peddling delicious frozen treats? Yes!

Haven't seen a single ice cream man since I moved to Vegas. Which is odd, because it gets pretty hot here. I even live near an elementary school.

There's at least 1 in town, but I live in an apartment complex, so I don't think it'll come here >_>

Unless an ice cream truck was showing up every 1-2 hours I wouldn't find it a huge issue. Maybe it's a different experience for those that grew up post 2000 but when I was a kid every kid in the neighborhood I knew was stoked anytime one showed up.

There has been one that shows up about once or twice a year, but I doubt it gets much business. Doesn't help that it isn't a traditional looking "Ice Cream Truck", but instead a pick-up with an ice chest in the back which is...weird and kind of creepy.

Not as often as before, but I stopped going to them when their prices ramped up. One ice cream cone from the truck is more expensive than a tub of ice cream from the market

I haven't heard one since before covid. That one was weird because I was hearing it only in winter.

Yeah. The local van is back around with the hotter weather we have had.

I wish. They would still be more likely to come up our road than the USPS though.
