Remember zero yahtzee punctuation? He hated last of us and 2 and I thought this line was funny because it made it pretty clear he didn't play the dlc

I'm pretty sure they were clear enough about it in the first game that you didn't even need to play the DLC to know Ellie was a lesbian.

To be fair I honestly don't remember if they outright said it, but if they didn't there were absolutely enough context clues that you could put two and two together very easily.

I don't think he's homophobic, it's just that his job is to be funny/entertain while critiquing games, and it sometimes falls flat.

I don't care that they made her a lesbian, but I didn't get that impression at all from playing TLOU1. I don't think there was anything is TLOU1 that implied anything about her sexuality one way or the other.

Paired with the rest of video and the whining he makes, it becomes quite clear, I just picked that line because it made me grin ear to ear. Very obviously didn't play the dlc.

Yeah, I never played the dlc and didn't get the vibe that she was a lesbian just from the base last of us game. Granted, I also though Bill and Frank were just regular partners that started to get fed up with one another from cabin fever rather then a gay couple when I played, so maybe my gaydar is broken.

Never played any of the games just remember discussion about TLOU1 back then, and I always had thought they made Ellie gay to quell the people who were shipping Ellie and Joel. Yes its weird but for some reason it was a hot topic back then.

Didnt really see anything Yahtzee said that was homophobic. You are either talking about being a minority doesnt make a deep character or that he thought they made Ellie retroactively gay?

I can't think of a single thing in the base game that pointed at all toward her sexuality, and I'm really wondering what it was that you thought was so obvious.

not necessarily proof, but maybe a hint, when she was like, "let's see what all the fuss is about" when looking at Bill's porn, like it's not an interest she personally had.

but not knowing she's gay, it's easy to read the scene other ways.
