Two topics in a row cause once again....yall slackin! It's been 14 hours since the last topic closed. Am I the only one whos both drunk and responsible?!

Spent the afternoon drunk working. Wife got off work and surprised me with takeout. Not sure it could get any better than this.

well it also reminds me of something else from years ago. I was co-hosting a competition on a community board with another user and we had to keep reposting the player list and updating our shared google doc for it. One of the players, Choco at the time had a bunch of numbers in his name before he name changed. My co-host got the number wrong and Choco kept complaining about it. Co-host finally changed it, but fucked up the number in a different way. Choco got annoyed again and complained again. Co-host changed it again but fucked it up yet another different way (none of this was intentional). Finally after more complaining, he finally fixed it to the correct series of numbers.

So soon after that I had to do a major update and list player into multiple times, so I intentionally and blatantly fucked up Choco's numbers 3 times in the same series of posts, 2 with excessive number button mashing and the 3rd one being "Choco4" (the actual username had a 4 and then a bunch of other numbers. I think it was a birthday?). Both co-host and Choco were amused by me trolling them like that.

We can't have a topic titled The Absence of Alcohol... You made this drunk and now i'm here drinking beer. That's false advertising were gonna get sued.

Also I had a drunken scare with my headphones. Clicked on the video and there was no audio. nothing was muted. Tried something else directly on youtube. No audio. Checked both ends of headphone cord. Didn't fix it. I was like FUCK did I ruin this cord? It's worn down a bit, the metal plug parts disconnect easily, but I wrapped it around the earpiece so it wouldn't pull out as easily (lol >_>). Still nothing.

Apparently I must have hit some bullshit button combination on my keyboard because I figured out that my audio settings were changed from sound card headphones setting to "do sound through connected device" (TV, which is muted). I switched it back and problem solved. Gave me a fuckin brief scare though.

Should have figured it out sooner because my volume thing usually says "Headphones (X%)" and instead said "43S435 (X%)" and I didn't realize something was wrong with that the first few times I saw it until I remembered that shit was my computer's code for my TV as a monitor >_<

It never fails that electronics fail when I'm too drunk to troubleshoot.

Having a place of your own is so fucking wicked. I've had a handful of different living situations throughout my adult life. Some good, others not so much.

But these days, having a place that's my own is the greatest thing ever. My apartment is my sanctuary.

Living by myself made me realize how important it is not to stick with shitty women. Absolute nightmare compared to how stress free I am now. I came dangerously close to getting married and getting this house and I would be miserable right now. Every woman since then has fallen WAY short of my ex and it's easy to spot now. I'd rather be picky than pissed off all the time.

My living room still echoes and I got two bedrooms one with boxes and another with a litter box now..... Ok first thing you need is a bed then. Or a couch. I bought a new Queen size bed and I slept on it like twice. Great bed but I just always fall asleep on the couch in the living room in front of the big TV.

I guess i'm minimalist too. After I had to go through my parents house and clear it out I just kept stopping and going "WHY IN THE FUCK DID THEY KEEP THIS SHIT!?"

Some of it I put to use. I got Halloween napkins I use that my mom used to buy like 20 years ago. They never got used so I said godamnit time to use em.

I still have some shit I haven't properly put away since I moved back after the rennovations on my apartment over a year and a half ago lol. I don't really care though. I care more about how much of an upgrade it was. Lost some kitchen space due to the bathroom being extended but that's mostly a good thing. Toilet was replaced which is awesome because the previous one was a bit fucky due to the previous tennant jerry-rigging some of the tank stuff and me not wanting to complain about it and therefore re-jerry-rigging it when needed >_>. Shower was redone and both it and the floor are a lot easier to clean now. Sink is better, but slightly further away from the toilet, so unfortunately I can't brush my teeth and take a shit at the same time lol that was a perk of the smaller bathroom before.

You're not gonna like this but I just had to kill a Black Widow. Walked into the garage and the bastard was climbing into the grill of my car. My cat had been fiddle fucking with it in the same spot the last day or two and now I know why. Had to be done. Black Widow and Brown Recluse get executed on sight. That's my rule.

now, one thing I want to know, and dolomedes can answer this too... is the hourglass thing on the back part or underside or both?

because one time at work many years ago, there was a black spider on the outside of the building that was the right size and shape to be a black widow and it was like late october/early november and I had read that black widows like cooler temperatures. It didn't have the hourglass on top, but I didn't get to see the underside. I ran inside to get a plastic cup to trap it in but it had disappeared by the time I got back outside.

It's on the underside. It's bright red. My garage has no AC so it's pretty warm in there. They don't like cool air at all.

hmm, now that I see that, I remember the legs being a bit shorter and the abdomen being a bit more thicc, so I think the spider I saw was not a black widow.

Oddly enough if I find a rattlesnake I can deal with that even though it will try to kill me too. The difference is the size. I can worth with a snake. I grew up with Black Widows and Western Diamondbacks my whole life. I DON'T like small little fuckers that can be deadly and can get anywhere. Snakes.... ehhh I can get a rattlesnake into something and let him loose. He's not lookin for a fight and neither am I so those I relocate.... far far away.

I see so many people freaking out about Tarantulas here and i'm like..... they're fucking harmless and you're just weirded out by their size. I have no problem with those jerk asses either.
