voltch 05/02/23 12:16:36 PM #1:	Rules: - You can save 1 series per hour. - Each series needs 11 saves per unique user. - Ambiguous saves will not count (whoever updates might not know a series nickname) - Last series unsaved is eliminated. - No alts/rallying - Don't delete or edit posts unless you're like giving us all an update - If you want to update, make sure it's accurate. (There are however no real punishments for mistakes unless someone is being an ass) - Punishments for rule breaking, well it's a fluid situation, everything will be dealt with on a case by case basis. - Community Rule will be used. Eliminated: Monogatari I make no secrets about my biases towards Monogatari. https://myanimelist.net/anime/5081/Bakemonogatari When it was just Bakemonogatari, pretty easy to get into, but nowadays, you have too much content with Nekomogatari, Nisemonogatari, Kizumonogatari, Monogatari Second Season and all the other Monogataris. Then to add to the confusion, there's debate just like with Fate about what's the watch order, usually centred around when to watch Kizumonogatari. At the end of the day, whichever order you choose, if you're going to be investing time into the Monogatari series, you're going to land on what's a series that plays up some of the worst anime stereotypes, but also some of the best dialogue. The monogatari series is wordy. It's low on action, high on style and comes with a heck of a large cast. There's also still material left that can be adapted. I wonder what would happen to a show like Baccano or Haruhi if the rest was fully adapted. Would they dip? DRRR got more content adapted than Baccano did and that didn't help it. I'll still back Monogatari next year, but this is going to hurt Oshi no Ko and if it's good, The Apothecary Diaries.
