read the article, the student did it on purpose as he knew exactly what he was doing, he gives a mini-essay explanation.

the artist said it was fine.

One copy of the exhibit sold for 120,000, but not every copy is worth that much. most just get throw away.

there are lots of exhibits like this in museums.

Banana on a wall absolutely is art. The question rather, is banana on a wall good art or bad art?

Most people would probably say no. I think banana on a wall is interesting but it doesn't make me feel anything and my life isn't better for it having been created. So I guess I'd say bad art.
