I took a break too. I figure since Ive got Scarlet Witch (is it a spoiler if the character is on the box art?) I must be pretty deep into the story.

Finished the other DLC missions too. Im really curious to see how Storm follows up on them, since she feels kind of thematically disconnected from the other DLC characters.
The others are various degrees of antihero that the group is sort of wary to invite in, but shes generally an unambiguous hero. I wonder how shell end up involved in shady vampire business.

my first reaction was no, that was Jubilee! but it turns out multiple x-women have gotten vampired. I had no idea.

interesting. makes more sense now if theyre going with that angle.

I have no idea how it would tie into vampires but I would love to see Magneto show up as Storm's villain

I'm surprised, since I thought for sure they would be cancelled too. I might get the PS4 version if it's a decent port.

There was a vampire Storm storyline back in the eighties with Dracula, and the first vampire interaction the X-Men had. Bloodstorm was a great character in the ill-fated Mutant X, an upside-down bad end world where the main team was full of What Ifs (Iceman never got cured of Loki's power tampering, Beast's transformation was much more profound with a lot less brains, Angel was even more of a demon after Apocalypse's manipulations, Maddy Pryor embraced being the Goblyn Queen, and Scott/Cyclops died but Alex/Havok lived). We even had a Bloodstorm show up when the O5 were in the present as Cyclops... girlfriend? for a while before she was unceremoniously killed off at the beginning of some dumb event. And I'm almost certain she showed up in an Exiles issue or two.

Okay finally got around to buying it. Found the Legendary Edition for $41. Time to go be BFFs with Wolverine and Deadpool.

Now that I've unlocked battle items, chests will sometimes give those too. And resources. Also I got the arcane knowledge level up reward that makes common chests free to open, so that's cool too.

I wish that the chests would have a proper pop-up that you have to dismiss, though. They disappear too quickly to always see what exactly you got.

Just unlocked Deadpool. I can see what people mean about En Fuego. I'm gonna see if pairing him up with Magik and using her portal shenanigans to corral people together for Deadpool to pick off will have any luck.

Captain Marvel taunting the people targeting him could also work, but then I'd have to use Captain Marvel.

I don't have him yet, but yes I would be more inclined to use him when I do.

Wolvie also has a taunting gimmick.

But who needs a dedicated taunter when you have the Darkchylde?

Got cut from work early and bought time at a pc arcade near my house, and scratched some of the itch ive had since brginning of year. Got through a few missions and I am just in love with it. I need to play more.

I should use this is as an impetus to finally get a new computer so i can play it at home. A thirty minute install every time and no guarantee yet that saves stick around.

I can at least play TF2 without lag with the rest of my time if it doesnt work out :/

This is my baby that I built from a box of scraps and have been upgrading piece by piece.

My recovery is directly linked to the progress of this thing.

I love the Spider-Man card I just got from a Hero Op that gives him boosted environment damage and +2 moves. I'm pretty sure I would've lost the first Morbius mission if I didn't have it.

So will I eventually be able to just buy reagents or something because trying to forage for specific things isn't great.

Oh shit didn't expect to be ambushed by Venom in a general mission. It was labeled hard and I didn't have an optimal team composition since I told Robbie I'd let him go on the next mission. I still won, but it was feeling pretty shaky. I had a pretty killer first turn though, with Magik shenanigans and Robbie's Hell Ride eviscerating almost everyone. And then Venom appeared, lol.

Fully Charged + Guarding Strike = OP Hunter

Feels like he just can't die. Even better if you can go Concealed on a turn with a lot of enemies targeting him. I was initially worried about ditching Heal for Dark Heal, but his sustainability is amazing now, so the minor damage he takes is completely negligible. More dark points for me!

Oh, interesting. Storm is actually recruitable before Wolverine. Her first mission just became available after doing the renegade Wanda rescue. I imagine the intro plays out a little different if you do have Wolverine, though.

Nah, anytime you talk to her and there aren't new story-related lines, she'll say "Yes?" followed by "You have problem?".

I dunno, maybe it changes later in the game. I'm at friendship level 3 and she still does it. I hope it does, because I could also do with less "I wish I could've brought my brother Gabe along".

Just did the first Challenge Battle for the legendary cards, the one for the Hunter. It took me like 5+ tries to figure out what it wanted me to do, because I had no idea what the Whisper of Memory or whatever was. It occurs to me now that that's probably the name of the enemy units, but I kept thinking it was a card or item or maybe a special that would unlock after meeting some requirement, and I was just like "but I don't have that!". I just won by trying every different combination I could think of, lol.

Act 1 beated. 47 hours!

Time to go get my next two characters, it looks like.

Meeting Delilah made me realize just how much potential there'd be for an X-Men focused game of this style

Hit 150 dark points already. Since the game said keep going for more rewards, I assume there's something more at 200 than just an achievement to unlock.

Getting dark hasn't been that hard, and I haven't really lost that many friendship points. I'm picking and choosing which times to pick dark, and usually don't do it if I think I'm gonna lose a point (but if I've already gained a point earlier in the conversation, I'm more willing to risk losing it and breaking even). Or sometimes I think the neutral option doesn't sound good either, so I chance it for dark.

I imagine it's not very feasible to swing all the way back through to get light in one playthrough, but I guess I'll see how far I can get after hitting 200. I don't foresee myself grinding it out with light cards in battles if it comes to that, lol. Because gosh, you have to go back through those 200 dark points before it even starts building on light, right? I feel like I will be hard pressed to even get back to 0 by the end of the campaign.

Yeah I ended up hitting max dark before the end of the 2nd act, so I guess it wasn't necessarily that bad, maybe it would've been tougher if I just did story missions instead of dragging it out with side missions

Also just finished the last of the club meetings, kinda sad to see them end

maybe I just don't get him but his stuff either seems to weak or takes away WAY too much heroism

he's the only character I won't level up some of his cards because it seems actively detrimental for a move to take 6 heroism and then do less damage than a 4-cost teamup card.

also Nico is the only character (except for some Hunter builds) that borders on potentially op. Probably the best healer/buffer in the game but also super strong

I got a hero request to take Nico into the T.H.R.E.A.T. room, and I was a little nervous about how she'd fair in there by herself... And then she murdered everything with glee. Strengthen + Witchfire =
