I ain't watching a video that argues in favor of something that less than 1% of the trans community goes through.

This is like watching a video of people arguing about how seatbelts are dangerous because the one guy out of a million crashes choked on one.

Why would I watch a video that peddles detransition idiocy?

There is no middle ground. Trans people are people and have every right to their own bodily autonomy.

Anyone who argues for some middle ground doesnt believe that and is inherently anti-trans and therefore a piece of shit.

I did prior to posting, i skipped into a little bit in the video and saw them ask about if social media pressured them to transition. My point still stands is you know the reception that would come from this

Yes. As I said in my original comment they're an extreme minority and their cases are not what general policy should be based around. The only acceptable policy is bodily autonomy, giving people the right to transition or detransition as they see fit. There is absolutely no other acceptable answer regardless of age.

I posted it because I thought it would be interesting to see a dialogue about the subject. All Im getting though is a lack of dialogue due to it not being 100% blind support of certain topics considered problematic in the trans community.

Not sure if it was TC, but I remember someone posting a Bill Maher clip and most of the posts were either making meme's about Bill Maher being "alt right" or saying that Bill Maher sucks. I watched the clip and it was something that CE would normally agree about, had to do with Hollywood getting better at diversity when it comes to casting lead roles. Most people on CE aren't going to watch something, they just go based off from the title.

With that said, the video TC posted is way too fucking long and without a "tl;dw" summary, no one is actually going to discuss the fucking video.

Yeah given those talking points it seems more like a "justify your continued existence" argument than a matter of "different opinions".

Frankly, this board has long had discussions about the rights of the gender non-conforming, and given you're a veteran of this board, one would think you'd have taken that into account.

I don't know why people are expected to humor people whose opinions are in the extreme minority and are extremely harmful to the group of people they pertain to.

There is no middle ground. Doctors should work with families and children to decide the best course of treatment for gender affirming care, and everyone else should shut the fuck up and deal with it.
