Hard to believe it, Team Rocket broke up, Ash is a world champion, Giovanni is stronger than ever as Team Rocket the organization now has footholds in not only Kanto and Johto but also Hoenn, Shinoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola and Galar thanks to the balance of power being shifted with the defeat of the Team Leaders there, with the exceptions of Alola and Galar as Aether Paradise and Marco Cosmos are not evil organizations and Teams Skull and Yell are more akin to local hooligans than a genuine threat None of Ash's ships will ever be canon and above all else, he'll never have that rematch with Mewtwo like he promised.

And he never came back for Pidgeot.

He could just have it off screen

I hope nobody goes into the new anime thinking we're still gonna get game characters and locations, absolutely nothing in Paldea looks close to resembling anything from the game and it's confirmed they're not staying in Paldea they're gonna world travel like Journeys seems like becoming extremely episodic is what hte suits behind the anime really want

Absolutely nothing. Ash, Misty and Brock are just going around having adventures an overarching plot with a Latias following them, last episode a random pokemon hunter tries to catch Latias, Latios shows up, loses, Latias in trouble, Ash saves Latias, Ash acting as Latios and Latias's trainer battle the pokemon hunter and beat him, the eon duo leaves together but not before this Latias turns into the same human appearence as the Latias from Pokemon Heroes and to make the reference even more clear that same Latias from the movie appears in a cameo painting a swarm of Latias and Latioss as they fly above her. It's suppose to be Ash's last ride but the anime team treated it the same as any other episode of Pokemon, they truely give no fucks

He's seen it several times throughout the series and got to battle it in an AU movie but other than that, nope, he never fought Giovanni again either after being defeated by him in Best Wishes

No it's not, that Latias appears in a cameo at the end of the arc

There is no ending. Ash will continue traveling meeting new pokemon, new experiences and so on, we just won't be there with him anymore
Team Rocket quit wage slaving and went to attack him again only to get blown out by a Thunderbolt as usual
Enjoy Riko's time
Oh and Tracey's Venonat evolved into a Venomoth off screen he still has his Marill but his Scyther wasn't seen
No cameos of previous companions either
No Ho-Oh either it was basically like any other episode
Ash's ideal of being a Pokemon master is being friends with all the pokemon in the world

so he's like 30+ years old right?

I kinda hope we can occasionally get an Ash movie, or 12 episode anime that's not corrupted by greed like the old one was in the future. Settle a few plot points, side stories, and fan questions maybe.

I just feel like it isn't over until ash is all grown up and has kids of his own or something.

Nope, never gonna happen, that level of passion was wrung out of the IP they only do what's marketable, safe and easy.

It's only been a year since Ash first left his hometown and he's visited 8 regions of the world, become a world champion, saved the world from destruction several times, captured less than 50 of the 1010 pokemon in existence, experienced time travel, alternative universes and timelines and has about 15 different girls and several female pokemon into him. What were you doing at 10 for a year you slackers?!
