I just looked at the comments section and it seems like a LOT of people have had similar dreams.

I had one when I was a child where a Japanese woman -- a geisha, but I didn't have a name for that at the time -- attacked me with a knife. She grabbed me by the throat and pinned me against the wall. (I swear this wasn't a fetish dream.) I tried to kick her off of me, but she was absolutely made of stone.

Another dream had me fighting a shirtless, heavyset chef with two butcher knives. He chased me up a flight of stairs. I kept punching and kicking at him, but it had no effect. He didn't get a hold of me, so I guess maybe this one ended in a draw.

Then there was a dream I had about Invincible Demonic Children. They were undead children with blank white eyes and I actually *could* hurt them. But no matter what I did to them, whenever I entered or left a room, there they would be completely recovered. I'd throw them off of a balcony and be gasping with fatigue and stiff nerves. I'd look back to confirm that they had stopped moving. Then I'd walk through a door and they'd be standing there ready to try and attack me again.

For the most part though, I actually can make headway against opponents in dreams. I sometimes have weapons, super powers, or power-ups to assist me. But, yeah, I had no idea that fighting an opponent that couldn't be hurt was a common nightmare.

Thats bc your body is in a quasi paralytic state so you wont be able to run fight or do extreme activity lol

I can do Kamehameha wave in my dreams. It works on the mooks but not the main boss most of the time. Fucking bs.

I do remember using Kamehameha on a wheelchair bound guy wielding a crossbow. It worked too he died.

I can also teleport in my dreams but it only works like 25% of the time I have to really concentrate. Only time I remember that I could teleport is during chase sequences (like zombie dreams)

More often than not when I do fight invincible dream enemies they just kind of freeze in place after I hit them. Like my dream doesn't know how to have them react so they just stop moving.

It's like the dream equivalent of beating an enemy and then they T pose after.

I don't dream very often (or I guess I should say remember them) nor do I recall specific invincible opponents but I do remember that all my punches feel like they're being thrown underwater or that when I run it's like I'm going through quicksand.

When I was a teen I'd get dreams like this, but instead when I'd punch my punches would go super slow and it was incredibly frustrating when I woke up.

Someone pissed me off in a dream once and I punched him in the face. The act caused me to wake up, because I actually had struck my bedroom wall.

But the cool part was that on my hand, there was a dead mosquito with blood, presumably mine.

I was probably like 12 years old or so at the time.

I remember reading about an experiment where some very experienced lucid dreamers were tasked with doing a certain amount of exercises IRL and then in their dreams, and the researchers timed how long it took. It turns out that everything moves way tf slower in our dreams, and on some subconscious level we realize something is off, so they speculated that that is the reason why our punches tend to be super weak in dreams, and we cant outrun the monsters.

I face up against big bugs like flying spiders or huge worms that are invincible it really sucks.

come to think of it, i never killed anything on my dreams.

I've also played the beginning of Persona 4

Ive never had a dream like that. My most common dreams are where my teeth break/fall out or Im back at school and forgot to do an assignment lol

Ah shit, similar to my experience.
After my dad died, i still dreamt about him for few years until one day i dreamt about him again and asked him: "but dad, didn't you die a few years ago?"
Then he shown a sad face and i never dream about him again anymore. So technically i killed my dream dad.

I have a strange one where every time i swing an ax, it spins around in my hand and the back of the axe hits. Its like a total loss of grip strength and the thing just ragdolls.

I've had a couple of dreams where I have limited flight. They operate on Mario physics where I have to run before I can take off.
