Man it's fucking March. Don't tell me we gave up.

So I weigh in at 310 typically now. So that's down from typical weigh ins at 325, 15 lbs loss.

How's your journey?

So didn't eat that much today. Still hovering around 260. I am going to start working out on the weekends now. Do a little running and boxing. Maybe that will help me drop

I was looking for it earlier. I'm currently 182 lbs. Goal is low 160s and to get shredded.

I need a lifting routine - assume I'm a beginner but I know how to do every lift and I have access to only free weights.

Calculated my macros: 1600 calories/day for ~1-1.5 lbs loss per week
140g protein
180g carbs
40g fat

Gonna search for a good beginner powerbuilding routine. I genuinely enjoy powerlifting but I care equally as much about aesthetics.

PHUL's great but I prefer PHAT. I don't do the full PHAT workout because I'm not on juice and can't handle all the volume of the accessory work without crashing lol

PHAT is my favorite workout I've ever done and got me the best results but I'm just starting off again so I'm totally fine combining back/chest into 1 upper day. I rather do fewer but longer days right now.

I decided I'm gonna give myself 1.5 hours for each workout, which means:
4:00a - 4:30a - wakeup, brush teeth, drink coffee
4:30a - 5:50a - work out
5:50a-6:20a - Shower, get ready for work
6:20a - leave for work

I can shift that all 1 hour forward on alternating days when I start at 8am.

I started at 260 lbs January 2022, currently at 198 lbs. I'm at 12" lost in my waist. My overall goal was to get to 185, so just need another 13 lbs to reach it.

Ur right I shouldn't do that huh. The official program does extensions and curls. I was trying to find free weight replacements for those, but I actually got that special shoe that you can strap a dumbell to, so I can technically do both extensions and curls 1 leg at a time. Its just time consuming to keep having to take it on and off to switch legs. Since I'm starting I'll do the extensions/curls light weight with my shoe thing.

But I do want a nicer ass, so I'm thinking maybe I'll do lunges on the lower power day also

Just did my first day, I completed everything except incline dumbell, 1 hour total including a 0.5 mile warmup run. I figured as a beginner thats too much benching, I replaced incline dumbell with pushups. Once pushups start to become a joke, I'll replace them with something else.

Ok look guys, we gotta support each other. Whatever we do, we cannot just abandon this. Even if we fail, we want to say we did try at least some. So we gotta support each other until the end of the year. Let not our topics die. If I end up still a fat ass at the end of the year, so be it. But I'm aiming for <300 by December.

So don't fall off the wagon! Even if you do, come talk, we'll figure it out.

I'm on week 1 day 3 of a smolov jr bench cycle and holy shit this amount of volume is crazy, and I'm barely getting started lol. Nothing like spending the first 45 minutes of every gym day doing nothing but bench press.

Idk how anyone can run a full smolov on squat or DL, I'd die

3rd day of eating clean.

I just need to make this a habit. Don't play to do any cheat days or meals on my own. My cheat meals will come when I'm hanging out with friends or whatever, at which point I'll still go with the healthy options. No soda, chips, deserts, or any other bullshit food. Not strict paleo but trying to go with single ingredient foods with the exception of mission 25g fiber whole wheat tortillas and quinoa.

Been on a weight loss journey since January 15th. Went from 174 to ~156-158

I've stagnated this week on weight loss but I feel it's more like I'm gaining muscle as opposed to maintaining fat.

Started meal prepping for the past few weeks like im supposed to. It's been making things much easier. At this point everything tastes like hot sauce and I just shovel it into my mouth. The only exception is my protein shake that's greatly improved since I started using almond milk instead of water.

Keeping steady at losing 1-2lbs a week. Consistently under 200 on my new scale. The old one definitely lied, but it made me feel really good about myself. I miss it

I've been eating REALLY badly. I've set up a little dumb system. I have a tray of stones next to a bottle. For every day I don't eat like a monster, I'll put a stone in the bottle.

My next challenge is meal prepping for work. There's healthy stuff at work but not ideal if I'm being super strict.

I don't have a fridge at work. I can take a lunch box with an ice pack. I have a microwave tho. I just eat quinoa, chicken, and veggies like broccoli. It can be eaten cold too.

They will check an A1c to test for diabetes so downing a bunch of sugar will make no difference, it tells the average blood sugar over the last 3 months.

Honestly just talk to ur doctor about it. A lot of people are using it off label, some docs are comfortable prescribing it and some arent.

Exactly 1 week ago I was 183, today I'm 179. I think about 2 of those pounds were from actual calorie deficit, the other 2 were probably water weight. The 183 was also immediately after a bachelor party in miami where I ate and drank like crazy. But feels good to break 180, thats my threshold of feeling overweight. Next goal is to break 170 which will actually have me looking pretty decent.

Because my diet has been so strict, I decided I'm not going to do cardio, only lifting. Once I plateau, I'll start cardio.

Again, work is going to be the biggest challenge. Waking up 4am to work out, then eating nothing but clean food all day for 10-15 hour shifts. But mentally I'm going strong.
