I know that statement hurt some people. I just rewatched it but damn, the way it concluded on 23 or so movies. It splits into 3 parts and each is full of great moments, tbh I cant think of a scene I didn't like. Maybe I didn't like how brown the final battle was, also professor hulk and fat thor, I can see why people would get annoyed but I was cool with them for 1 movie (professor hulk has overstayed his welcome)

I was rewatching the Ant man story (ant man 1, civil war, ant man and the wasp, endgame). This guy got a surprisingly solid story over 4 movies. He steals every scene hes in and he shares scenes with big names.

I remember this doing so well in wrapping up stories for many characters in a year where game of thrones hit a wall and burned.

I think it also shows me that even though I am higher on phase 4 than most, there need to be more team up movies, at least one per phase. There needs to be some feeling that these characters live in the same world

But wraps up is something it does not do

It bothers me that Stan Lee wasn't around to see it.

He almost certainly saw Infinity War, and at least SOME early footage of Endgame.

Its great but Im still annoyed by how they did Thanos.

The Thanos we got in Infinity War was incredible. Endgame Thanos felt more like a cliche bad guy

They were filmed together IIRC so its possible he saw a complete except for CGI and some editing version of Endgame.

The true bummer is he never got to see No Way Home.

I wish Tchalla joined the time heist. Would have been fun to see him interact with the crew in the short time we had him

Over time, I'm sure more and more people will turn on Endgame as our intellectual minds find more and more things wrong it.

But as a conclusion that wrapped up so many franchise storylines, it did a really good job.

Sure, Infinity War is better, but Endgame really did just give me a good sense of finality. It's going to be tough for Marvel to match that.

Like it or hate it, the overall cohesiveness, with how many movies and characters they created, making it come together the way it did, the MCU was an unbelievable feat. As a comic fan for as long as I can remember, nothing is going to top it for me, unless they somehow blow it out of the water with the X-Men stuff. I just don't see it being repeated.

Good idea. I wished T'Challa survived Infinity War and Shuri dies instead. In Endgame, T'Challa works with the Avengers to find a way to get her back. Even joining the time heist.

We would have seen much more of Chadwick before he died.

It's unfairly taken a hit because the Marvel universe kept rolling forward shortly after, even though that shouldn't factor into the quality of how this one movie is rated.

I think shuri also got blipped but yes, giving him motivation and more interactions with the others would have been great and solidifies him as an avenger

This movie did more for nebula than gunn ever did

Feige needs to sit the russos down and tell them "marvel was best with you and you are trash without marvel, now come home and make more MCU titles"

Among other things, I'd like to give Endgame props for the tiny little character interactions it pays off during the finale.

There was a rumor that bucky saves pepper which and then him and tony sort of have a brief moment. That was something that would have been great for this movie

He died shortly after that though, right?

Considering he was battling cancer at the time maybe he couldn't physically do more than what we got in end game.
