I by default dont believe any Reddit story; however, in general I heard people talk about how there was yelling and accusations at peoples Super Bowl parties due to this ad.

I think I've used Tubi.
Anyway...I hate how everything that gets shared from Reddit seems very fake. People that didn't grow up with the internet seem to have trouble sensing bull shit online

1. Tubi is legit. Had mxc and lucha underground on it before.

2. She was right to leave that dude. Drinking or not, no one should get so peeved at "changing channels" as to punch a hole in the wall.

3. It was a lighthearted and fun commercial gag. And a lot of people were drinking during the Superbowl, like dude in that tweet, so being loopy and not thinking straight or playing into it shouldn't seem so surprising. Pretty sad to gatekeep it and act like "EVERYONE R DUMB FOR BELIEVING IT"

I'm a millenial and I legitimately thought I had accidentally pressed a button on the remote when the Tubi commercial happened. I wasn't about to go into a rage fit about it, though. She's smart for leaving that dude.

I honestly could believe this one, as I have seen many men on twitter basically admit to raging at their partner's/parents over it before realizing their stupidity.

It definitely happened. It was during the 2nd half. My family got confused and thought someone sat on the remote but it was still on the end table. I get it was a joke, but probably not smart to do that in a major championship game that people have money on

The two broadcasters weren't even wearing the same suits in the commercial that they were wearing during the broadcast. And one was a stark contrast, as he was wearing purple in the commercial, and gray in the game broadcast.

I'll never understand the flex of not understanding something's value because you feel above it. It's such a try hard to be bougie nonsensical flex lol. Even if that ignorance is impressive to some, this isn't at a high enough level of bougie to be impressive. It just comes off as trying to be bougie without the means to actually be bougie.

I dunno why people are acting like this is far fetched. Super Bowl is a huge event people get super passionate about, and a ton of them are also shit faced while watching it. If anything I'm surprised there aren't more of these stories.

Honestly, Tubi was playing a dangerous game with this commercial and I'm sure a lot worse happened to a ton of people who aren't in a position to post about it on Reddit.

Pretty sure the announcers switched sides from their earlier appearance, or they had different suits on. That was as my instant realization. But I was a tthe bar and turned to the guy sitting next to me and said "oh that's clever"

My brother definitely yelled at me when the commercial came on. But every other person in the room was like "dude, it's a commercial" and he got super embarrassed.

I honestly don't see what's so unbelievable about the story. Domestic Violence always spikes around huge sports events. And abusive shits have freaked out and gotten violent over a lot less.
