A lot of it's weaknesses would have probably been much more easily forgiven had it hit the PS4 launch window as planned, as I still think that it's one of the most beautiful games on the console, so when the PS4 was brand new it could have ridden the "look what my new toy can do!" wave I to enough sales for a sequel, I reckon. I don't think it's any worse than, say, the first Uncharted or the first Assassin's Creed, only it didn't get the superior sequel that they had to turn it into a powerful franchise.
