Like goddamn Twisted Metal Black and the PS3 reboot were fucking golden as were the OG and 2 and 4. I still go back and play them all on my PS3 from time to time

Are there any rumors of this happening? I'd buy a PS5 tomorrow if a sequel to the 2012 came out today.

Twisted Metal for PS3 was pretty bad IMHO, I wanted multiple characters and endings, not some faction based gameplay.

Twisted Metal: Head On was the last one I played. I did it on the PSP mostly, but got that the extra twisted edition for the PS2. That was a great release, I like how they played up the drama and released beta footage from the game that was worked on once. I have a lot of Twisted Metal opinions. But just to be blunt, I think 4 is one of the better ones (I know the of company didn't make it). And Rogue Trip kicked ass. But 3 was so awkward, I wrote a review about it on Gamespot actually that wasn't too critical under a Offpsring bandmate (I was really into this Offspring impersonation at the time, but just as a passing fancy). It was obvious Greg Keisel didn't review Twisted Metal 3 on IGN. But I gave it a 6/10. The driving sucked and the stories sucked and the music was solid. It was a complete miss from what made Twisted Metal 2 so good and I don't remember if Rogue Trip was out, but ppl in the know Singletrac were making that game.

But I couldn't give Twisted Metal 3 a1/10 unlike the outrage these days. A 1 or 10 is only for the absolute most crap. I think that's why a lot of ppl try to calcuate things that way or the internets does like or dislike.

Now that i think of it TM3 is probably a 4 overall but it did have a lot of Rob Zombie.

Hard pass on the reboot being good. It's the reason the franchise is dead. The vehicles are soulless without the characters.

Twisted Metal 4 I do think ppl sleep on, some how Sony studios released 3 which was awful and got 989 sports and car combat to make it better. Also I don't know if all the endings were better, endings are up to opinion. Without considering Rogue Trip and ranking Twisted Metal 4 and Vigilante 8 which eh last time I tried TM4 I was really drunk I guess and it had been awhile on camera. But TM4 I'd give at least a 7. Everyone thinks it sucks b/c 3 did, but if you never did play it, give it a look.

Black for me, I never played much and should love because I like depression, but never quite give it a real chance (more than once) and ppl do say it's difficult.

Yes plz. NYC rooftops were awesome, I'd always lays a remote in the pool and wait for someone to come down lol. Was even better once you learned the button combos to jump, shoot ice, and shoot backwards. You could then enter the pool area from the "ground floor" (quotes because everything is still up on skyscrapers) and jump through the window where the lockers were. I'd lay a remote in the pool and also in the pool. I believe the locker room had a remote that respawned periodically so I was always stocked lol

Then there were the secret passages in Paris, Hong Kong had the subway and the inside area where you could ride around the 2nd floor and Dark Tooth could never use the teleporter to get you, but he still had his ranged bombs.

The controls are a little weird going back to it now but a remastered 2 with updated controls and graphics would be the tits.

If you want a remastered Twisted Metal 2. Look up Twisted Metal:Head On. It was on the PSP first. It feels like a sequel.

The PS2 re-release is better.........just it was actually on the PSP first. It's called Extra Twisted Edition I think, I should just look at my damn game case I still have but you can trust me.

Yeah it will be a lot easier for me to play the PS2 version anyway. Again thanks. Always excited to play a new-to-me game from a franchise I love and missed prob due to not gaming much during that time period

Duncan recommended me Mario Vs Donkey Kong the other day and it is blowing my fucking mind that I went this long without knowing about it despite playing the hell out of DK 94 and it also being one of my favorites of all time.

I agree, 3 was crap. Hated how they decided to make some more realistic car physics, which resulted in you rolling over any time you got hit in the side. Good luck playing Axel when you spend the whole match rolling sideways.

There was also the slept on Small Brawl. Was unfortunate that it came out on PS1 a few months after Black was released on PS2. Going back a generation and seeming more kid friendly made a lot of people skip it, if they even knew it came out.

Loafy, I feel like Small Brawl played well but TM4 had a bedroom arena too and a bunch of fun death match places I played with friends, Calyposo was hilarious because he had a nuke that could wipe out so many spaces. At that point I did not give one freak about small brawl.

Wtf happened to arena car combat in general? Vigilante 8 was fun also, but you dont see those games anymore. I'd think there would be a bunch of indie clones but even then I never come across one that might be good.

There are/were some indie car combat games online I do watch some youtube videos because I need stimulation but don't want to do anything, let me look at the name. I think car combat was like ska music in the later 90s it got really popular and everyone liked it. And then it was over and ppl pretend it never happened for some reason.

I loved vigilante 8 one and two. They were also great games. I also remember enjoying rogue trip very much as well. Each game has their own little things that made them good in my opinion.
