Frozen 2 was meh, Toy Story 4 was better than expected, Zootopia was fantastic.

Zootopia seemed to really fall out of relevance quick compared to other Disney movies. Maybe because it doesn't have a big song?

I wasn't actually a massive fan of the first Frozen flick tbh (it was fine, but I don't get why the hype is so huge), but a new Zootopia/Zootroplolis is good news.

I hope Zootopia 2 has some female furries of the carnivorous variety.

How can you even make a Toy Story 5 with how 4 ended?

Wait really? I already felt like Toy Story 4 was made essentially to introduce new characters for the sake of merchandising and took it too far (Im seriously annoyed that the OG characters were barely in it and Im even more annoyed that more people arent annoyed by that).

But now that Woody isnt even part of the main group anymore Idk, I dont have a good feeling about it. And Im about as big a Toy Story fan as you can find.

Yeah anyone hating on Toy Story 4 I don't understand. It's not a necessary sequel and yet at the same time it maintains the same quality and heart as the others. Woody's arc is so heartwarming dude. And it's another Toy Story ending that leaves me choked up. I ain't arguing for the end of nothing. If you guys have quality stories with these characters, keep telling em.

First one aged quite a bit, but it's still great. Toy Story 2 is arguably the best Pixar movie ever made.

I mean, the entire franchise up until that point was about how the greatest purpose a toy can have is being loved by a child, a theme that carries through all three, and then 4 basically goes "fuck that."

So, we can at least nail it for thematic inconsistency.

What's weird is it doesn't even forget that. Like, the plot is about that. The villain's arc is about finally getting a chance to be loved, and that part of it is actually really good.

I just hate how Woody seems to have reverted to weird jealousy, something he kinda got over all the way back in the first movie. Then there's the whole "fuck everyone I've known for years, forget the kid who owns me, fuck Andy's wish for me to be hers from now on, fuck all y'all, I'm gonna hang out with a lamp decoration and never be played with again"

Honestly, with movies like Frozen 2 and Toy Story 4, Disney really went through a "leave your family and friends behind" phase that I don't really like lol

I hated toy story 4. it shit all over a perfect trilogy ending for an inferior and frustrating story and more money making opportunities.

From what I remember, the theme of the fourth movie was about moving past what others expected you to be and becoming your own person. Er, toy.

Also he found a greater purpose in helping lost and abandoned toys find new kids to love them, something he couldn't do if he remained with Bonnie.

Yeah my interpretation of TS4 was more that Woody had accomplished and experienced everything being a loved toy. He is going off to have a new journey (or retirement if you want to take it that way) with the girl he loves.

To be fair he experienced being stuck in a box with him for nearly a decade. That's a rather shitty end to have.

Zootopia 2 sounds cool. I never watched Toy Story 4 or any of the Frozen movies, so I'm not as interested in those.

Geez.

I never bothered to watch Toy Story 4 as 3 had the perfect ending.
It was time for Andy to give his beloved childhood toy to a small child and I did the same with Toy Story 4 and my little nephew. He adores that movie as much as I did the first one at that age and I don't even need to see the movie to get that heartwarming feeling.

I want another original musical like Moana and Encanto, both of which are far superior to Frozen 2.

But hey, it's their first mainline threequel so let's see if it pays off for them.

Toy Story 4 was already so unnecessary. It barely even felt like the same franchise with the shift in setting and tonality. Why they're making a fifth is just incomprehensible to me (yeah yeah money but Pixar used to care more about artistic intent).

WDAS only did the first one so the rest aren't mainline.

Frozen 2 was better than the first so I can see Frozen 3 being even better.

Funny enough, I can see a Toy Story 5 or Zootopia 2 working. What I can't see is Frozen 3 working. Frozen 2 was a bad movie because they didn't know how to complete the script on who the "voice" should be. They were throwing stuff on the wall to see what worked and eventually decided something on impulse because the deadline was nearing.
