I don't think they'd have had much success trying to make Toy Story 4 with a brand new cast in the first place. The whole point of a sequel is the marketability and audience familiarity with the characters. You need to have Buzz and Woody at minimum to make it a Toy Story movie. Anything else is a spin-off... Granted, spin-offs can be pretty fucking great. Just look at Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. An amazing movie with a seriously masterful villain and remarkable cinematic flair, and yet it's a god-damn Shrek spin-off. So maybe I'm wrong. --- I write Naruto Fanfiction.
