Figured Id do another one after last years smash-hit topic. Focused the poll on games with no dates hence no Zelda, Diablo, etc.

Also I know what youre thinking: FFVII Rebirth is not eligible for this topic as its estimated release window goes all the way to March 2024.

Zelda has a May date. Even assuming another delay it likely makes it out this year.

I went for Pragmata, which Im not entirely sure will ever come out though Alan Wake 2 was tempting.

Yeah, the lack of info on Zelda despite it being allegedly soon makes me think a delay is coming there but it can probably absorb one or maybe even two and still land in 2023. Voted Baldur's Gate 3 but really I have no idea.

Zelda delayed to coincide with Switch 2 release

The next Switch is looking like late 2024 at the earliest so definitely not delayed until then.

On Zelda it has already had a ~6 month long delay. Second delays are very rarely longer than the first. I can see May->November but I cant see May->March. It looks like we will see more of that game in the regular February Direct so I think it will ramp up its showings very soon.

Zelda will 100% be delayed. No way Nintendo doesn't milk Zelda again for a new console release.

I wouldn't be surprised at most of these games missing the year.

Way too far away. They didnt for Skyward Sword and that was probably a shorter gap between game and console release than this will be. Metroid Prime 4 on the other hand

Well not only is there the date its as early as May and there are lots of other games which have shown less with more precarious dates set or no date at all. It was never really in contention for the poll.

Stalker 2 feels like it's probably the most precarious. I doubt it would've made December '22 without the war, and I don't think they're back to 100% yet, since the war's still going on. I think most of the rest are pretty solid for 2023, honestly. Though it does seem like Starfield's been delayed to Fall, along with Forza...

We've barely seen any Pragmata, but it was scheduled for 22 originally, and they've been working on it for a long time. I expect a big E3 or PS showcase for a Fall release.

The devs wouldn't have shown Silksong if they weren't confident about making 2023.

BG3's been in Early Access long enough that they know exactly when it's coming out.

SM2 got reconfirmed for Fall recently, and Insomniac's been pretty consistent.

Pikmin 4 is probably already done and Nintendo can put it out whenever they want.

Alan Wake 2 is maybe the likeliest of the rest? Remedy's been putting out a ton of stuff recently.

There a source on that? I hadn't heard any speculation about it coming in 2025. More of the rumors seem to be about TotK being the last major Switch release...

My money is of Armored Core, just because that's the game I'm most looking forward too.

Realistically the one most likely will be Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2. That's never coming out.

I'm pretty sure Baldur's Gate 3 will remain in "early access" until the end of time.

So retail leakers are talking about getting Zelda displays and Nintendos socials were retweeting 100 days until TotK releases! stuff not long ago. It looks like its not getting a delay. Not really sure why people in here were so sure it would get pushed all the way to 2024. Now I just need to get ready to potentially eat crow at the Direct next week.

Is there any reason to think Pragmata will be delayed other than that we haven't seen much of it?

People talking about no new detailed Zelda info as a sign it still has a lot of work left to be done, as if Nintendo didn't have a habit of not revealing shit about their games until right about when they release.

Fire Emblem Engage just came out, and was announced like four months ago (I know it was leaked before that, but it doesn't count.) Nintendo doesn't care, they'll release details even for major titles when they feel like it.

We'll know next week, but I suspect Zelda won't get another delay or at most a mild one.

FEE also revealed tons of characters since it was released. All BotW2 has revealed in like a year or more is a title other than the delay I think. I wouldnt be surprised one way or another with it release/delay, but also dont care because after the first its extremely unlikely I even play it

Nintendo has been extremely good about keeping release dates in the Switch era. If they don't know they're just not giving it. And them not showing much before very close to release is also in line with basically the whole switch era.

No, I think with that Direct they're good on that date.

FWIW, I erroneously had it in my mind it was April not May.
