You can accept a game ages bad and still like it and Ill respect that. Or you can convince me otherwise and tell me why it didn't age bad and it aged just as good as Super Mario 64 or Doom or even games that weren't as good as Goldeneye at the time like Siphon Filter or Turok. Tbf, having modern controls would fix the main issue. Playing it on the Switch just now I need an N64 controller. My brain is wired to use a right analog to turn, and the left analog for strafing. Goldeneye has it reversed. And for whatever reasons, I have no issues with the N64 controller and actual C-buttons. I'm liking the retro charm of the game and I'm also fascinated by how similar some stuff is to Timesplitters with sound and design.
